Green Portrait, Yellow Landscape - which do you prefer?

Hello friends

Did you have a nice weekend?
Mine went by in a blur of craftiness along with popping the heating back on
as it felt so cold!
I delved into my dies and decided to design with Blooming Garden
Collection - created by Marisa Job and all in stock on the website here.

I put together two cards using the same
design just switching out the colours and the orientation.

The main dies are Swirl Lattice Panel.

Both dies coordinate beautifully together with their swirls.

Here's my first card, portrait in pale green.

Here's the second, landscape with yellows.

Now which do you prefer?
I made the green first convinced I would prefer that one, but actually
I think I like the yellow more.

The flowers are Blooming Roses and Rose Buds.

I chose to slice the frame die cut in half, stretch it across my card
and add vellum.

For a full tutorial there's a video.
I'm getting into the swing of these,
Mitchell is chief editor for which I'm eternally grateful as during this filming
one of our cats was very vocal and demanding her tea!
Now with the magic of cutting sections you don't hear her or me
laughing and saying sshhh!

Take care friends, stay warm and dry today.

Morning Christine. Two beautiful cards. These dies sit so well together. I see that Becca is on Hochanda later this week showcasing her new dies. Will you be with her again? Xx

Hi Christine,
Two lovely cards, difficult to choose between them, but I think the Yellow one is my favourite. Great video too, I've just watched it on UTube.

Morning Christine,
Both are pretty, but like you I think the yellow just edges it for me.

Beautiful cards Christine. Love them both the yellow as it gives a bright and sunny outlook and a longing for the sunshine. The green as I'm in a green phase at present. I had to put the heating back on too over the weekend. xx hazel

WOW Christine, these are both so stunning I honestly cannot choose a fave. I am going to try and replicate this today just to see if I can turn out something as beautiful. (Mind you, I don't have these particular dies however, I do have a couple of Spellbinders 'fancy dies' that should do the trick.) Thanks so much for sharing your amazing cards, videos, tips & tricks. You are a great asset to the crafting community.

How to choose when they are both so nice Christine. However I think the subtle shades of the green one is calling me. Like other folk I put the heating on yesterday afternoon and it will be coming on today. We've had endless days of rain it is getting a bit much!! Best wishes Jackie x

Hi Christine, I hope you have your 'waders' on, I heard on the news that your part of the country was due to have lots of rain !!
I adore both cards, but, for me the first one is the nicest, I love the subtle colours and find it quite 'calming'.
I have a log burner/multifuel stove in my lounge and I haven't let it go out yet, we keep it on morning noon and night, ticking over when the sun is out, but the evenings have been chilly, I don't like central heating because it affects my breathing with the dryness of it, I don't blame you for putting your heating back on.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hello Christine,
I’m loving all of these dies.
I love both of your cards, the beautiful yellow reminds me of sunny days to come (I hope) and the gorgeous green is cool, calm and classy.
Keep Warm xx

Hi Christine.
I’ve also had our heating on as it’s quite cold here. It doesn’t help that our room is now over 40 ft long due to the fact that we’re having new doors fitted between our living room and the kitchen diner and these were taken down.
The green card gets my vote, I’ve never been a fan of yellow.
