Friday Die Day ...with a difference!

Hello friends

First off...WOW WOW!! Thank you for all your kind comments yesterday,
I got quite emotional reading them all and Susan - you made me laugh out loud -
not too shabby for a Kentish girl at all! :)

It's Friday and it should be Friday Die Day but seeing as I'm still on cloud nine
from yesterday's news I've got a different idea...

This week it is.... Friday "Give Away Dies" Day!
You all know how much I like my butterflies - Les Papillions, Flutters,
and my favourite flowers - Bitty Blossoms, Layered Poinsettia and more ...

but what die set do you return to again and again?
Perhaps it's your Nestabilities, Tags, Ovals, Matting Basics.
All you have to do is leave a comment telling me what your favourite
Spellbinders die has been so far.

I am spreading die happiness!

4 winners will be announced next week and each will receive a set of Spellbinders dies!
So don't delay tell me your die today!

Elliott and I catching a coach first thing and travelling to the very wet
but beautiful Lake District, hoping to blog from there so stay tuned.

Have a lovely weekend, take care friends.

I use lots of my dies often, but if I had to choose a "go to" die it would probably be the border dies (there were several sets with different edges and patterns that matched them, can't remember the official names now) . A close second would be my flower dies. Put the two together and it's easy to come up with a pretty card.

I lover all my Spellbinders dies and it's hard to pick just one favourite. Top of my list would be Bitty Blossoms and Card Creators, because they just turn out so beautifully every time.

Hi Christine.
First of all many congratulations, well done and maybe one day I will say Hello to you. My favourite die is bitty blosoms I just love the tiny butterflys. Have a great weekend. Take care Kitty.

Hi Christine
Firstly many congratulations on your exciting news.
I have quite a few dies and it is difficult to chose which is my favourite die as this changes often. However, at the moment it must be my borderabilities (set 2)

Hi Christine,
I love my decorative ovals and also a pretty circular die that I can't remember the name of, butterflies of course, bitty blossoms, my medallions sets, my grand squares that put a very nice edge on the base paper of the card, sorry Christine I could go on, I think I love them all and they all get used at some time.
I do hope you and Elliott have a lovely time and that the sun shines for you.

Morning Christine
This is a tough question - am I allowed to choose 2? My go to everyday die set is floral ovals. This is such a pretty die and works brilliantly with my favourite stamps. However at Christmas time my must have die is the layered poinsettia die set. It is so versatile, you can vary the size and the layers, and the colours too.
You may be in for a drier weekend than you are expecting. I have just looked at the local weather forecast and we are in for a fairly settled weekend with the odd shower. Light winds too.
I hope you and Elliott have a brilliant weekend in the Lakes. Enjoy.

Morning Christine, Gosh now you have asked something, my favourite die, there are so many, this time of year I tend to use the Layered Poinsettia and snowflakes die the most but usually I guess if the Grand Ovals as I love oval dies and have started to collect a few more, then of course there are the curved boarders, Radiant rectangles, Nestabilities like Lables Twenty oh I could go on and on lol!

Have a wonderful time in the Lake District, does not matter what the weather up there as its such a beautiful place and scenery whatever the weather, in fact i wish I was coming with you lol! Enjoy.

Love & Hugs

Out of all of my Spellbinders dies I think that my 'go to' set has to be Labels One. They are so practical for sentiments or to emphasise the embellishments and go with practically any style of card that I am making. They are also just a bit different to the average rectangle. Have a wonderful break, I am off on one myself next week!

Hi Chrstine
Congrats again. One of my favourite dies is the basic lattice along with Les Papillions. They make lovely cards.

HI Christine. I use my Spellbinders dies a lot but I always return to my favourite flowers, bitty blossoms and the poinsettia for my Christmas makes. Congrats on your new position with Spellbinders and have a good weekend.

Morning Christine
Good to hear you are still on cloud nine, carry on enjoying
that feeling!
A difficult question, but the dies I return to again and again are the labels. No numbered set in particular, as I use them all regularly.
Thank you for the chance of winning. Gorgeous card today, pretty colours you have chosen.
Wishing you and Elliot a lovely weekend away.

Hi Christine - what a poser I think that I use my favourite dies depending on the season - so for lots of projects throughout the year I use the fancy lattice, although rarely on cards! but for Christmas cards I go back to frosty forms as it is so versatile. Sorry if that it is a bit of a cheat! Hope you and Elliot have a great weekend
take care

Good Friday Morning Ms Spellbinders International Ambassador !!!!
Has quite a ring to it, you will need quite a Business Card though! I am still so thrilled for you Christine, I am really looking forward to hearing about all the different things your new role involves.
Now favourite Spellbinders now there's a question, the two I use the most are 1 Spellvbinders Foliage
2 labels 20/ Floral Ovals
But I have also always wanted the Homespun set and the Bracket Box, the latter because I have been dabbling in making a bit of jewellery and would love to created my own, pretty, sturdy boxes!
I hope that you and Elliott have an amazing time, what a beautiful part of the world to be visiting, plenty of photos please!

I love my Labels 4 spellbinders, used above all others but I love my Marianne butterflies and would dearly love the spellbinders papillon. My most used has to be all my flowers, I adore flowers and butterflies.

Enjoy the Lakes,I used to love going there and not too far from where I lived in UK. xxx

Hi Christine. Firstly I want to say CONGRATULATIONS again on your fantastic news. How exciting, and how lucky for Spellbinders for getting such a lovely talented lady on their international team :)) (that double rainbow is only gong to bring you more good things. This news also means that I hope that I get a chance to meet you on your travels. Any plans to come to Oxfordshire? Sandra and I will be first in line for tickets if you do : ))
Thank you for offering us the chance to win great dies. I only have a small number of dies(sadly no butterflies-they are on my wish list) but the most used are the Layered Poinsettias. Good luck in the draw everyone.
Have a lovely time in the Lake District Christine and Elliott, I hope you don't get too wet, but sure you will enjoy the break anyway : ) Take care.

Congratulations.....My favourite die is bitty blossoms and at the moment, fancy tags two! I love the Lake District, it looks like the fairies have sprinkled everything with fairy dust at this time of year - it is beautiful.

The real workhorses of my kit are the Nestabilities plain and scalloped circles, but they're basic tools as essential as scissors and glue. For real versatility, my favourite is Jewel Flowers and Flourishes - some element from it seems to appear on almost everything I make.
Have a lovely trip, I adore the Lake District in autumn

Have a lovely break Christine, recharge those batteries before you hit the ground running with your new role at Spellbinders. You do ask difficult questions, how can you pick a favourite I love them all, but currently my flower builder are favourites, my most used are petite ovals and matting basics xx

Carole Z said...

HI Christine, this is a tough question...butterflies are a big one for me too, I love Papillions, but my al time favourite of the blossom dies has to be the poinsettia, which in different colours and used different ways, doesn't just have to be for Christmas. The other dies that get used all the time are labels and Squares..grand and small -have a great weekend! hugs Carole Z X

Firstly-Congratulations on your news, saw it on the Spellbinders blog. If you can choose where to visit then please add Southport-theres 2 craft shops nearby.

My favourite dies would have to be the squares-standard & grand as i'm useless at getting lines straight. Someone laughed when I bought them but they've been worth every penny!

The weather "up north" is looking good for your trip-theres a beautiful sun rise again today so fingers crossed for you both.

Michele.

Morning Christine,
Wow! I somehow missed your news yesterday, many, many congratulations, you deserve something good to happen. Love your beautiful creations today. Now a favourite die, that's so difficult, it changes every few months at the moment it's the basic layering dies, so useful, and the aster dies come out a lot too, and not forgetting the poinsettia.
Hope you have a lovely break with Elliot.

Hi Christine, firstly, have a fabulous time with Elliott this weekend you both deserve it. Really looking forward to seeing where your travels will take you in you Ambassador role, and do hope you will be able to come to Wales.
Regarding my favourite die(s) They have to be Papillon and Fleur de Lys. I used them on the last two cards I made for my mother, for her 98th and 99th birthdays, sadly a 100th is not to be, so they have a special place in my heart! Anne x

Hi Christine. So glad you are still on cloud nine and deservedly so! I've decided to add a border to 'you know what' so I'm still working on it. My go-to dies are Labels One and I have collected most of the different sets. Of course with Chrismas preparation, my Layered Poinsettias will be well used.

Love, Belinda. X

This is a lovely card Christine. I especially like the background. Hope you and Elliot have a great weekend and its not too wet - the Lake District is also on my 'bucket list'
I think my most used Spellbinders are
Grand Labels 1 and Jewel Flowers and Flourishes. Although, of course, I do like them all and its a job to choose a favourite.

Patricia Howarth said...

Morning Christine, My favourite 'go to' die would have to be Layered Poinsettias, I use it countlessly and I always adore how it looks depending on how I curl it or layer it. It is my 'favourite of all time'. I also use regularly my Back to Basics Tags, and recently I have been using Grand Scalloped Squares for frames.
Have a lovely time in the Lakes and enjoy the 'vistas'.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Dear Christine, hope you're wrapped warmly for cloud nine! I just know that you're going to make an excellent International Ambassador for Spellbinders.
The dies I use more than any other are squares which I've found so much more versatile than they appear. Also love Les Papillons Two and Opulent Ovals.
Your card is so pretty. The background paper is gorgeous and I love the muted colours.
Have a super time by the Lakes.

Congratulations on your brilliant news!
My favourite set of dies is the Fancy Floral Ovals set. I use this a lot as it frames my images beautifully, but I use my dies every day and I have quite a collection going now. They are so versatile and can make even a plain card look fabulous.

I think it's my Bitty Blossoms I use the most, but I love them all, and keep going back to the Cherry blossoms with the branch (sorry, not sure what it was called, but I think you will know what I mean. I like those because there are a lot of flowers you can cut out at one time, rather than having to keep going through and through to get enough.

Jen Brown said...

Congratulations on your exciting news Christine, so pleased for you. I use a lot of different Spellbinders dies, but I think the one I use most often would have to be Opulent Ovals. They are just great, and seem to fit nicely on any size card. But I also love my Bitty Blossoms lol. Hope you and Elliot have a lovely break. Enjoy J xx

Hi Christine
really struggling to chose a favourite Spellbinders die as there are so many winners, but I think my vote goes to Branching Out as you can ink/ stencil the foliage to match the season or festive card/project and I love the versatility as it's not just for Christmas but has a home all year round.
Congrats on your new role and enjoy The Lakes one of my favourite places! x
I guess Branching Out would be great to use for scrapbooking your memories from this trip. x

Hi Christine, Well that is a tough one as it all depends on the season! Generally the borders are used quite a lot but one I use most is bitty blossoms so I suppose that would be my first choice, but butterflies are a close second. You and Elliot have a lovely visit to the gorgeous lakes.

Morning, Christine! Like most other people, I use my SB dies on a daily basis, it is very unusual for there not to be a nestie or die of some sort on my creations! As for favourites, well I do love my Floral Ovals, they are just so pretty and frame images beautifully and then there's my latest addition which is Labels Eleven, a nice change from the usual ovals and circles and is ideal for matting images and nice and easy to create faux mats too!
Hope you have a wonderful time in beautiful Cumbria and that the rain stops for you at times! Hugs, Lisa x

I have A LOT of Spellinders so this is a hard one! I think it would have to be Labels One. I love the shape and it's great for square cards. The co-ordinating dies are just lovely too.

I love your butterfly creation - so pretty and girly. Keep up the great work.

Hope you've had a great time in the Lake District. Fab photos.
