Welcome Home and Fields!

Hello friends

Today a 'Welcome Home' card featuring the Edwardian Door D-Lites die.
Sprigs and Blooms Four have also made an appearance!
So simple to do, script background paper, wood effect card for the door
and the addition of the stamped sentiment, flower and foliage.
A small brad makes the door handle.
I have all these dies in stock so please feel free to check them out on the website.

As many of you may know, my working day involves Bella walking
and her favourite place is the fields and woods behind my parents' home.
A few days ago the fields caught fire!
No idea whether this was an accident or deliberate but so sorry for the farmer who
has lost a fair amount of his barley crop.

Bella and I went to investigate....
Well I did the investigating...she did a lot of running!
Because it was a hot breezy day the fire spread pretty quickly...
View from the top of the hill, there is an old runway here.
the charred section of the field.
Our regular view from leaving the woods entering the fields.
On our walk back relieved to see the hedgerows are still fine,
in face the bullaces (sort of little plums) are in abundance!
Huge respect for the fire crews that rushed out and my Dad had the garden
hose at the ready too! :)

Elaine commented yesterday that she makes gifts for the children of the Philippines
and also sends out crafty stash too.  Some of you kindly expressed an interest in helping,
this is Elaine’s email address if you would like to get in touch  elainehood@sky.com
I think I shall have a rummage too, I'm sure there is some pretty bits and bobs
lurking in the shop and craft room :)

Have a lovely day friends.

Lovely card. The pictures of your walking view are nice, lets hope the fire wasn't started deliberately.

Do you use the bullaces to make anything-jam, gin??!!

Michele.

Hi Christine, lovely Welcome Home card, and lovely pictures of your walk yesterday, I do feel for the farmer and do hope that it wasn't started deliberately, it is such a struggle for farmers sometimes, just to grow our crops, never knowing what our weather will bring during the summer months. I received my Sunflower yesterday, thank you, and had a play last night and made the most beautiful flower, even though I say so myself. Thank you for the little snowflakes included, I would love it if you could give us a little tutorial on how to use these.

Hi Christine,
Love your card today.
What a shame the field fire must have been just when harvesting is due,as you say the poor farmer and small animals. Your photo's are great, Bella looks so small.
I hope you have a good day . Take care. x.

Hi Christine. How sad that the farmer lost some of his crop but thank goodness it was contained before the whole field and more were burnt.
Lovely photographs of Bella's walk and very pretty door.
Love Val in Spain x

Good morning Christine,
Lovely card today, the door makes a great welcome home card, or indeed sorry you are leaving card!
Well I won't be commenting for a couple of weeks as we are off on our holiday, driving down through France to Spain!
I'll check in when I get chance, will mainly be at overnight stops etc as campsite wifi is not too great and quite expensive!
Take care my lovely ladies, look forward to catching up soon,
Big hugs

Morning Christine,
Lovely card. Bella looks like she's having a lovely time. That poor farmer, if it was arson he must be so angry. A farm near had a new barn erected it was only up for a few weeks, then last week vandals set fire to it.

Hi Christine
Such a lovely card , i love the wood effect door and beautiful flower, it would make a great gift framed for someone moving into a new Home .

Such a Tragedy for the poor Farmer ,all the hard work and crops gone in the blink of an eye , fire spreads so quickly especially during a dry spell , all credit to our Firemen they do a grand job.

Thank you for the Advert Christine
i really appreciate it ,
We will welcome anything you will be thinking to throw into your dust bin , a little bow , a square of cut off paper, anything for little hands to play with.

Have a lovely day
Take Care

Hello Christine. That is a lovely card and says it all in such a pretty way. Sad for the farmer to lost crops but fire can help the soil sometimes I believe. Maybe he'll have a bumper crop next year. So glad your Dad's garden wasn't too near. xxMargaretxx

Morning Christine, gorgeous card and use of the door, those sprigs go with everything don't they! So sad to see the farmers crops burnt out, coming from a farming family i know how devastating that will be. Hugs Emmax

Hi Christine. Love the Welcome Home card, it is so pretty.
Such a shame when crops are lost, our farmers have a hard enough job as it is these days! As always our wonderful Firemen did a brilliant job. Anyone worrying about the wild animals, don't, they will have moved away very quickly: )
Thanks for the other pics of "your" walk, I love seeing the changes through the seasons : ) Have a good day. Take care.

Good morning Christine
Lovely card today. The door die will be very useful for all sorts of cards and as you have shown previously can be chopped up too.
That fire must have been devastating for the farmer - all his hard work gone in an instance. Thank goodness the fire service were on hand to prevent it causing even more damage.
Enjoy your day
Lesley

The Edwardian Door makes a lovely home-themed card.
Bella seems totally oblivious to the charred fields. Oh to have such a simple outlook. It's a real shame for the farmer though.
