Tuesday Tip/Technique

Hello friends

1 July...really???
It's Tuesday Tip/Technique and what have I got for you??
A reminder that you can cut both felt and fabric in your Grand Calibur®
For thicker fabrics and felt use a Junior Metal Shim.
The cutting sandwich stacking from the bottom is:

1. Grey/blue base plate.
2. Junior Metal Shim.
3. Medium (fabric/felt)
4. Die template with cut ridges down.
5. Either pink Embossing Plate or Raspberry Spacer Plate
(depends on the thickness of your medium)
 How about a quick brooch?
Fabri-Tac is wondrous stuff for gluing fabrics and felt (also hems!)
I like to use up buttons for the centre and stitch/glue a brooch pin onto the back.

Well the kittens are happy and so are we!
They are settling in wonderfully, making themselves at home...
I wanted new curtains anyway!
This is Bella and Pixel both with Mitchell - thought I should clarify that it's Mitchell...
I don't tend to wear Batman PJ's!
My other two cats are pretty much ignoring them!

More Celebra'tions items have been uploaded to the website here - they are lovely!

I'm in the shop today and with the help of my lovely Mum we are working
on July's Charity Kit - more news soon.

Take care friends.

Morning Christine,

Beautiful flower that would be great as a broach.

Love your picture, Bella seems to have settled in nicely with the new additions, if you have cats already they will take quite a while to accept the new ones, at least a couple of weeks, they have had their noses pushed out so to speak, they have competition now lol!

Good luck with it all.

Love & Hugs

Hi Christine, great tip as always from you. Must remember to try different mediums, I tend to go for the same things out of habit.
Lovely news about the kitties. Bella is obviously too engrossed in what is on the laptop to worry about what is going on around her.
Have a lovely day with your Mum in the shop. Hope chocolate or cake (or both) is on the menu...yummy.

Morning Christine, I must say Bella is taking the new additions very well haha, I had to chuckle at your quip about needing new curtains anyway haha, have the kitties been climbing them !! You will have to give your other two cats lots of fussing, they will be feeling left out !!
Loving the tip about cutting felt and other mediums.
Have a lovely day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Morning Christine
Love your brooch, I have these dies and only ever use them on paper or card.....I must be more adventurous!

Morning Christine,
I love that brooch, great tip, thank you!
It's not fair! How come your kittens and puppy are getting on, ours can't stand the site of each other, it's like a war zone when they catch site of each other, not sure if it's because the kittens were here first and they don't like the idea of a dog on their 'turf' or what it is!
I had visions of the three of them all running round together!
Never mind, maybe in time!
Hugs to all

Hello Christine, what a great blog. I love the brooch and will try the sandwich you suggest. I also love the kittens and am so tempted to rush out and bring a pair home. With two dogs it's pushing it a bit. xxMargaretxx

Hi Christine,
long time no write, but I LOVE Elliott's 18th birthday presents - they are absolutely gorgeous. And well done Bella, for not being aggressive.
Me, I don't even contemplate introducing ONE kitten to my (rather grand old cat of 20 1/2 yrs) - she'd go nuts.
A belated very happy birthday Elliott, all good wishes to you.
Hugs, Rose
ps : yep, those resident cats want lots of attention, too....... not just Bella. But I suppose they'll all come round in the end.
