Not nice!

Hello friends

If you follow me on Facebook you will already have seen what awaited
me at the shop/studio on yesterday morning....
I arrived to discover water has been coming through the ceiling from the flat above.
The main damage so far seems to be in the middle room which is my craft room,
there is some in the corner of the stock room and possibly a little in the main shop too.
Where I haven't been in the studio/shop a great deal due to the hospital trips,
I had not realised it was seeping through but then no mistaking this...
The source of the leak will need to be found and then everything will need to dry out, not great in Winter!  The landlords were supposed to send an emergency worker out -
I think he got lost as no sign of him yet!
As you can imagine, very upsetting.
First thing Monday, fingers crossed things will start to get sorted - until then,
back to my dining table and conservatory - nothing should stop craft!

I am due to hold my Christmas class next Sunday - I will keep you posted with regards to that.
I'm hoping to go ahead but for those of you who have booked, I will be sure to contact you
to confirm.

Website orders and Charity kits will be unaffected by this nastiness.
I refuse to let it get me down!! :)

I'm thinking this water business is a little deja vu....
this is the ceiling in my previous studio following a leak...perhaps leaks follow me!

On a happier note, Elliott is having a nice weekend - he went out shopping
yesterday and is back glued to his computer.  The hospital have given him a
huge tub of face/head cream - I told him all male models have a beauty routine!

Take care friends,
back tomorrow with a crafty post!

Oh boy what else can happen, everything is being thrown at you these days. It can be fixed but what an upheaval at a time you need calm. Great news about Elliott, get him to follow his "beauty regime" it will help.

Oh dear - what a shame! Can you claim on insurance? I'm glad that Elliot is doing well though - and that's the most important thing.

I did see this on Facebook Christine...it's not what you need at any time.

Hope the landlord gets it sorted soon and has it all back to being perfect and the way you want it soon

Elliott's weekend sounds really good, He is such a handsome chap thought he had a beauty routine already!

Enjoy the rest of your weekend

Hi Christine. Sorry to see the mess but like you say don't let it get you down. Have your rant, rave, scream, shout and tears then move on to getting it sorted. it is not important is it, just inanimate objects that can, amd will, be fixed (even if so slowly that it takes many hours to show up to help, some people just don't take a pride in their job!) Fingers crossed it gets done swiftly for you. Good to hear Elliott has been out and about. Try and have a good day today. Take care.

Oh dear Christine this is just not what you need right now! I am sure you won't let it get you down, I guess in the grand scheme of things it is a minor upset. Lets hope the landlord gets it sorted ASAP! Hugs Susan x

Hi Christine,
No wonder you can't wait for 2014!
After all the cards you've been dealt this year, it is so good to hear that you are refusing to let this get you down. I think I would be sitting in a corner having a good sob1! I think Elliott's illness must be helping you to put things into scale and you have had so much to deal with that you are definitely going to be a much stronger person. Things can only get better now surely!!!

I am sure that it will all get sorted soon. Glad to hear that Elliott is starting moisturising early in life instead of waiting until all these damn wrinkles appear. Keep your chin up. Valerie

Hi Christine
It never rains but it pours { sorry about the pun}
But hey it will get resolved and soon hopefully, get on to those workers if they have not turned up by 9 o"clock Monday Morning .

Tell Elliott all the cool guys use a face regime { my son and his friends swap tips too, as a nice soft face pulls in the gals . lol }

Hi Christine

What a mess, lets hope it's sorted out very soon. Life seems to be throwing the book at you lately. But don't let it get you down. Big hugs to you all, and remind Elliot of his beauty treatment. will the landlord pay for the damage or do you have to claim. Perhaps upstairs will have to pay for it if the landlord doesn't.

Morning Christine.

Oh No that leak is horrid, looks a mess but I hope once its dried out the damage isn't too bad for you. As if you haven't got enough to cope with at the moment.

Pleased to hear Elliott is having a good weekend, and yep a lot of men now use beauty products.

Hi Christine, So upsetting at any time but so near to Christmas, Don't let it get you down as long as Elliott and the rest of the family are ok that's what matters. Does make you mad though especially when the builders don't turn up and never let you know why very bad manners but it's like that now, chin up love Jean Z xxx

Hi Christine, There isn't much to say that hasn't already been said. The insurance people have huge heaters that can dry out rooms very quickly, so hopeful that your next week's class will go ahead.
Well done Elliott one week further on with your treatments.

Hello Christine
Its an awful sight at the minute but if you hadn't gone when you did... it would have been a disaster!
Cheer up though Christine its someone else's mess to clear up!
I think you have enough to take care of at the moment.
Try to focus on your lad, and let the landlord worry, he hasn't been checking the property, and making sure it was sound!
Its so thoughtless of him and it will be costly for him too!
I hope Elliott keeps up his beauty routine... He is being a brave boy.
Christine you seem to have a fair share this year, but it will soon be 2014, and "The Only way is up." I'm reading that book by Carole at the moment..an eyeopener to how some people live, but the most important lesson is good friends and I'm sure you have many
Take care

I was going to say 'hope you're having a lovely weekend', but the mess in your lovely studio has probably put paid to that! More crappiness, as Elliott would say!I am so sorry. I know that you're a positive person and will get through this in your usual upbeat way with your amazing family. I do hope it gets sorted quickly and NOT at your expense. We are here for you.
Take care.
