Monday - News Round Up

Hello friends

First thing, big thanks to the amazing response to 'The Blanket of Love'.
Many people are clickety clacking their knitting needles creating squares
I am certain it will be more than 30 so perhaps a couple of blankets can be
created, wonderful stuff - thank you all so much.

It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas...all the lights are up
outside the studio/shop.
Yesterday was my one and only class - despite the water leak, hospital trips and more,
I chose to go ahead.  I wouldn't have been able to do it without my brilliant mum who
spent the entire day before helping me get organised.
We were making Christmas trees...
not traffic cones!
Here is everything set up ready to go.....
I meant to take photos of everyone crafting but typical me, I got busy chatting.
Valerie very kindly forwarded a picture of her tree once she was home.
Beautiful and I love how she has placed sparkly jewels between the flowers.
We all agreed this project could be adapted to other occasions, imagine it in white
flowers for a wedding table centre, perhaps detailing table numbers.

It felt so good to be back in the swing of things and I cannot wait to get going
again next year with all my plans.

A little reminder - if you haven't already done so, you might like to sign up to receive
my Newsletter - there is going to be a little flurry of them soon...
12 days of Christmas - some very special festive offers.
Click here to visit the website and there is a 'Newsletter' tab under the header.
Take care friends - my Christmas decorations should be out of their boxes tonight!

Hi Christine. So glad that you could do the class. I love the tree, it would look beautiful for any event. I will make one, just not looking forward to all of the handle turnig:) Once I have decided on which papers and flower dies to use I think I will have them sat by my Grand Calibur and just add one any time I have room on my cuttng plate. That way I won't notice how many I have done! We are half way through getting the decs up. Had some new lights for the tree, hubby tested them before putting them on then 20 mins later they went out! Not happy, luckily our daughter had only just started to put tinsel on, no other decs, so could have been a lot worse as we put LOTS on our tree :) the replacement lights are now on along with lots and lots of decs around the bottom 2 layers of branches as the 2 and 4 year old grandaughters came round and helped put the decs on, fantastic to see their faces but now need to sort it out properly :)) That's part of what the Christmas preperation is all about isn't it! I hope Elliott gets on well this week, and you too of course. Take care.

Morning Christine, I am so glad your class was able to go ahead after all, the tree is stunning, and a fabulous centrepiece for any occasion.
I am being 'run-ragged' since my eldest Granddaughter has got a flat, and also her Son is 7 next Monday and I haven't even made his card yet, haha, there aren't enough hours in the day !!
Another week starting for Elliott and yourself, it will soon be Friday, keep uplifted, and well done Elliott.
Lots of love and huge hugs from Patricia xx

Hi Christine. So glad you had a good day yesterday. It was a little bit of normality in amongst your busy life.
Love the tree - I bet all the class were delighted.
We put up our decorations yesterday. The outside looks like Blackpool illuminations but hey, it's only once a year!

That is a beautiful creation. It must have taken hours to die-cut all those flowers! Well done everyone.
At this moment I have some (very nice) chaps from South-East Water in my house trying to locate a leak. Talk about coincidences! At least it's outside - so we think. May yet have to dig up the floor! Eeeeek! Happy Days. Hope your week goes well.

Hi Christine
Love the tree, so pretty. You must have had a very enjoyable class.
Went shopping in Wilkinsons for wool and a new set of needles. It has been such a long time since I have done any knitting that I think my old ones must be hiding in the attic! Noticed that the new ones are very long, so might be able to knit two squares at the same time; now that's a challenge! Pattern has been printed out, so all ready for casting on. Incase I missed the message, can you give a deadline for sending in the squares? Anne x
