It's the Weekend!

Hello friends
I don't think I have ever looked more forward to weekends!
We now have two whole days without visiting the hospital,
time to push all that 'stuff' aside and think about nice things -
we are baking, decorating THAT tree and making some Christmas cards!

The baking:
Elliott would like to make chocolate chip cookies.
I have a recipe I always use for these, in a rather old Homepride flour cookbook.

We are also using the 'Last Minute Christmas Cake' recipe featured in this month's
Charity Kit to experiment with a plan... I will keep you posted!

The tree:
My tree has never been naked for this long, it needs some
serious attention!  Also the cat is now 'roosting' in it every evening, she needs shifting!

The cards:
Elliott has decided to make some Christmas cards for the nurses, doctors and consultants at
King's and the Royal Marsden - we are using one of my previous designs, this one...
Definitely photos to follow showing Elliott hard at work!

A quick mention regarding the Twelve Days of Christmas Offers over on
my website.  To receive the discount codes you need to sign up to the Newsletter,
each day a new code will be sent through to you.
Some special deals coming your way, I'm having a Spring clean of my stock in mid Winter!

Finally - I want to mention Anne again, she hasn't missed sending Elliott a gift for every
single day of his radiotherapy treatment, it has made such a difference.
Even the nurses know about it now and are intrigued to see what he has got each time.
A million trillion thanks to you!

Take care friends - enjoy your weekend.

Hi Christine.
Have not started Christmas preparations yet, so the 'last minute cake' is one I will have to try over the weekend.
I am glad Elliott is enjoying the treats, and am relieved that they arrive on time. A big thank you to all who have left such kind comments. Anne x

Hi Christine, Hope Elliott's expertise in the 'baking' department went well. If he makes cards as beautiful as this one, the recipients will be ecstatic.
Anne is such a fabulous girlie for all the goodies she is sending to Elliott.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Christine
Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I loved this card when I saw it on your blog before. Hopefully you can keep the cat away from the tree once it's decorated. We came home to find 4 gerbils had taken up residence. My what a mess there is around where the cage is. Our daughter could have least put some paper under the cage they were left in. An even bigger cage for them sits in my craft room at the moment. My partner says he will have to get the vacuum out in the morning.
