Festive Fun!

Hello friends
End of the week round-up of news - firstly let's get festive...
Today is not unlucky Friday the 13th - it is Christmas Jumper Day!!
Today we need to don our Christmas jumpers and pledge £1 to Save the Children.
Mitchell is game....
Elliott and I met with real reindeer yesterday, our local garden centre is playing host to
a couple, they seemed quite snug in their makeshift shelter.
Very pleased we have reached the end of week 3 for Elliott's radiotherapy.
Yesterday was a CT scan and he sailed through that thanks to a brilliant nurse and
I was allowed to stay in the room with him as long as I wore a lead coat!
Believe me it was heavy!
Here he is waiting at the hospital - I think that face says 'not another photo!'
And squares...
more and more are arriving and they are brilliant.
Many thanks to you lovely knitters out there and for the cards and treats too!
Incredibly kind and thoughtful.

Also today marks the beginning of my 12 Days of Christmas deals.
If you have signed up to my website newsletter you will have received an email with
all the details.  If not, nip over there and sign up as you need some special codes to get
the brilliant bargains over the next 12 days.

Not a great deal of crafting going on due to hospital every day but pleased to share
with you my daily snippets of news.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, I'm definitely decorating my Christmas tree!
Take care friends.

Hi Christine. Firstly, I love Mitchells jumper and hat. Will Elliott be wearing one to his treatment today? Good on you Elliott for getting through your scan yesterday. Another "Be very proud of yourself" moment. You have been getting lots of those in the last few months and you have earned every single one : )) The blankets are going to be so pretty, love the great colours coming in. I am on row 3! This cold damp weather really doesn't help my arthritis so knitting is a slow, long job. I am determined to get one square done though! Enjoy decorating the tree Christine. Have a great weekend. Take care.

Morning Christine. Mitchell's jumper and hat are super. I can understand Elliott's 'fed up' look after all of his hospital visits~keep your chin up Elliott, you are half way through your treatment.Like Mrs B I'm determined to make a square too, but it's a painfully slow process for me!Have fun decorating your tree and enjoy the weekend.Love and hugs,
Maggie x

LOVE Mitchell's outfit - where did you find it Christine? My friend has just had her 3rd session of chemo and now has to wear a wig as her hair has been coming out in massive clumps. Like Elliott though she puts such a brave face on life. I think adversity really shows up the people we are inside and you are all incredible!x

Morning Christine, Loving the piccies today, Mitchell's jumper and hat are fabulous, he looks just like a Christmas pudding.
Elliott's face says it all, but he must have 'loads' of charms now, and he is half way through his treatment now, he will be crossing the days off shortly. Huge hugs to you Elliott.
The piccie of the knitted squares is fabulous, some very talented peeps, you will have enough for two blankets soon.
It was my Birthday yesterday and I got a 'onesie', it is Christmas oriented, and I have it on while I am typing this.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Christine, I love the idea of Festive Jumpers Day, and as I am out and about today I will join in and pay into a charity.
Elliott must be so proud of all he has accomplished in these last couple of months, well done.
All the knitters who have stepped up to help out, well done to you, you also should be very proud of yourselves as you are all showing the True Festive Spirit.

Hi Christine

Love the Christmas jumper, the ones I seem to see in the shops don't look anything special, but this one looks ok. I'm glad that Elliot sailed through his scan. Rather you than me wearing a lead overcoat. Hope you all have a lovely weekend. I don't have my email yet but will have to miss the first 3 as we shall be away in Bournemouth visiting my partners brother. He lost his one and only daughter 5 years ago to breast cancer at the ripe old age of 34. So they don't do much at Christmas.

Mitchell is a very brave lad! Amazing jumper. The squares look great - you won't need mine as you'll be overwhelmed with them all. Gosh Elliott, can't believe how the weeks are flying - it will soon be a distant memory and you'll be able to get on with life again. Looks like you're coping fine. xxMargaretxx
