AWOL!

Hello friends
I think that might be the longest break I've had from blogging in ages!
Sorry about that...I hope to be back on track soon.

So what has been happening?
Firstly - do you think Summer has arrived?  Quite a few mornings in a row I've awoken to sunshine which is lovely although it does mean pets think they should be fed at a ridiculously early time.
I've even ventured to put a few bedding plants in my shed window box -
I'm hoping the snails and slugs keep away - they seem to love my garden.
Secondly - Mitchell is up and about and returning to work soon.
I may have some news on Mitchell's new job ... this could be an
interesting step forward with Hope and Chances...!
I will keep you posted.

Thirdly - Elliott.  As mentioned, we have had a bit of a setback, the surgery
has triggered off a form of diabetes, that is being treated although things are
not quite happening at the speed we would like them to.
We know we have a long road ahead but at times we just wish there
were little short cuts!

This has been a lovely week for flowers in the VT.
Thank you Joanna.
And thank you to my London firm for sending me flowers too.
Also thank you to the cards that continue to arrive for us all -
my fireplace has never looked so adorned, not even at Christmas!

Finally - the giveaway!
This employee has spent a lot of her time doing this lately....
Actually I am going to forgive her because she has joined the ranks of the sickly Embersons!
Not only did she have an ear infection but she hurt her leg this week too.
She is definitely on the mend but still likes the cuddles and sympathy!
So by the powers of random generator I can announce the winner of Mix'd Media Playtime

is.................

MADDIE, NOTTINGHAM

Congratulations Maddie.
Please drop me an email christine.emberson@blueyonder.co.uk
and I will get them posted out to you.

I will be back!
Take care friends and have a lovely, hopefully sunshiney(?) weekend!

You all certainly seem to be going through the mill Christine but you will get there finally it's just frustrating for you & especially Elliott. The sunshine is beautiful & definitely makes everyone feel happier I think. Have a good weekend & don't worry about us blog followers, we will all be waiting when you have the time to get back to us.

Hi Christine,
I was getting worried when I didn't see any blogs from you and feared that Elliott was back in hospital. He has such a lot to cope with, as have you.
But at least Mitchell is well on the way - you have got me intrigued about his new job. When will we get to know?
I suspect Bella loves the cuddles and sympathy and will act the poorly pet a bit longer than necessary. But that's ok, isn't it.
Wishing you SHORTCUTS galore, and best wishes to you all. Have a good weekend with plenty of sunshine. I shall plant up my baskets, spring/summer is here to stay (at least for a while).

Hi Christine, glad to hear things are looking more positive - the weather helps put a good spin on things too, don't you think. On the subject of Elliott and diabetes, I have had diabetes since I was 10 - coming up for 40 years in August and I use the diabetes.co.uk forum on a regular basis. There is a section for newly diagnosed diabetics, for youngsters and for parents. Although you haven't said much about Elliott's condition, there are lots of people there who can answer any questions you or he has - and I am always happy to talk. Take care care, and don't worry about us bloggers - we are happy to wait until things are on a more even keel. Helen xx

Look forward to hearing Mitchell's good news too, he deserves a bit of luck!
Poor Bella, I am guessing she was feeling left out as you weren't being nurse to her too!
Are they controlling Elliott's diabetes with medication?
Hopefully it's just a small setback and he can get that settled and back on the road to recovery! My dear friend you must be exhausted ! Take care please! Xx

Hi Christine. Thank you for letting us know what is happening. We all understand that there are far more important things to do but like Janice says, we are a patient lot and know you will catch up when you can. Glad to hear Mitchell may be sorted with work. What will his news be? Sweet picture of Bella. I'm sure Elliot will be ok, just very frustrating to have any thing slow down his recovery. Stay positive. Take care.

Hi Christine, still a lot happening in the Emberson household. Hope that everything with the boys doesn't take to long to stabilise. I winder what Mitchell's new job will be, and when will he and us of course know?. Don't worry about us Christine we shall all keep looking everyday for updates. Lovely flowers by the way. Have a lovely weekend from a not so sunny Witney in the Cotswolds. The sun can't make up it's mind what it wants to do at the moment.

Hi Christine and all the sickly crew. Pleased to hear that at least one of them is more or less back to normal health. I do hope things will improve for dear Elliott, I'm sure that the highly specialised medical team will sort him. keep faith and keep positive.
As for little Bella, I guess she is going to get your attension one way or another, must say she looks sooo cute sat on a cushion on the garden bench, bless her.
Dare we mention that the weather is just beautiful at the moment???
Sadly, a week or so ago, we had a day of very strong winds, our Lilac tree that was in full bloom
was hit badly. We have just spent most of the day removing the broken branches and it looks rather odd now.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend, look forward to your blog as and when you are able.
Love Carolyn x
