Hello friends
Just a few days ago we waved goodbye to the longest day of the year -
that means the nights will soon be drawing in and before you know it...Christmas!
WAIT! Hold on a minute!! We haven't had Summer yet -
I've yet to remove my cardigan this year!
But, just in case you are seriously organised and like to prepare early
for Christmas I'm guessing you may have caught the new Spellbinders®
Christmas dies on Create and Craft.
They are very lovely and I can confirm I've been playing with
them for a while (including making up those die display boards that you see on TV) -
I cannot share my projects just yet but hopefully soon.
Also, I hope to be stocking the new festive dies in a month or so.
So what else?
Quick update on Elliott - Kings have decided he
will need much stronger growth medication for his daily injections so that has to be
ordered in. We hope to be back at Kings again this week once it arrives.
In between, Mitchell has started making plans for the charity event I mentioned
a while back (getting him trained you see!)
I will soon have an event date for the studio/shop, details of a kit that be purchased
at the shop and online. Also a raffle - every event needs a raffle!
Some lovely crafty prizes being donated - more news soon.
You might not realise this but I'm even getting Bella trained up to help ;)
Talking of charity - I want to say huge thanks to Elaine Wainwright.
Elaine took part in Race for Life - she dedicated her race in support of Elliott and
he was massively impressed to see his name written under Elaine's race number.
Elaine has also offered to raise money for Ronald McDonald House.
Heartfelt thanks from us all (that includes Bella too!)
Seeing as I've mentioned Christmas (and hopefully you haven't keeled over in shock!)
I thought I would post a favourite Christmas project of mine
from a while back. I like to think it isn't too traditional -
in fact it doesn't feature any Christmas dies at all!
The beauty of Spellbinders dies is their versatility for different occasions.
Take care friends and thank you all for stopping by -
I hope to get back to daily posting soon.

Morning
Still busy in the Emberson household, glad that Elliot is on the mend - I know it takes a while but you will get there.
Chin up Elliot we are all behind you.

What a lovely, long post culminating in a great Spellbinders card. ironwork motifs and accents are so versatile. I hope all goes well for Elliott and all of you. I am looking forward to seeing the 'mystery' kit!
Well done to Elaine.
I'm not a big forward planner for Christmas, so really not into it just yet, but I do like the card. Looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the event. JuliaTx
Hi Christine,
Hope Elliott's medication will be finally sorted out with something that suits him later this week, he doesn't do things by halves does he. Looking forward to seeing your mystery kit, and great card today.

Morning Christine, So glad they are sorting Elliott's medication, good luck for your visit to Kings this week. Our thoughts and prayers are always with you all.
Congratulations to Elaine, and what a lovely lady.
Your card is beautiful, and so Christmassy, but no Christmas dies in sight ha ha, truly beautiful.
Well done, Mitchell, looking forward to seeing the charity packs.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hi Christine. I hope Elliots meds get sorted soon. Fingers are always crossed for him. Can't wait to see what is in your kit and what you have been doing with Christmas Spellbinders! I love the "snowflake". Isn't it great how you can use dies for so many things. Take care.
Morning Christine glad they are beginning to sort out Elliott meds. Mitchell sounds like he has settle in well and coming up with some great plans for the future. Glad Bella is getting her time on the pc. Have a good week xx hazel
I do hope Elliot's new medication sorts our things for him Christine. I love the card - I don't have the ironworks die, but I do have a set of Spellies snowflakes that would work. Sorry, but I have to confess to buying a rival's Christmas dies (Tattered Lace) primarily for the sentiments - still waiting for them to come, but I had their everyday ones, so I know what they will be like.
Fingers crossed for Elliott and the new drugs.
Look forward to hearing about the charity event and the special kit. Well done Mitchell. I am sure Bella will oversee everything.
Take care Christine...x
Christmas - love the season. Like you I still await more Summer weather. Glad to hear Elliott's medical care is progressing. Good wishes

Morning Christine,
I'm with you can't think about Christmas when we have had no summer yet, but it's a lovely sunny day today lets hope it lasts a while.
I do love your card very and the photo of the tree with snow is great too, that would make a nice card.
Poor Elliot he must be fed up with hospital visits, hope he gets his medication sorted soon.
Good to hear Mitchell is settling into his new role.
Take care.

Hello Christine!
Nice long blog today!
How lovely of Elaine to race with Elliott on her T Shirt! you must have been so touched!
Hope the meds get sorted soon Christine, then it will settle Elliott down and start him improving!
Love Bella on the PC cartoon!

Hi Christine,
fully concur with your thoughts about summer! BUT I don't want it to be 40 degrees Celsius (which is what they had in my home town of Hameln, Germany.
Just a tad warmer, with sun would do me very nicely.
Let's hope King's will have opted for the correct dosage and Elliott will get better.
Good job Mitchell, keep up the good work.
The card is gorgeous. I started making my xmas cards in January, all went well until I had to stop and now I've still got LOADS to make.

Hi Christine, it was lovely reading your blog today, like chatting to a friend I haven't spoken to for a while. Its good to know there is progress happening in your world, so I hope it will continue speedily.
I am not yet into thinking about Christmas, as I have lots of children's cards to make first, but I really like your card.

Morning Christine, firstly I hope Elliotts new medication helps and doesn't have too many side effects. I never start xmas before September then its bulk making for a few weeks. I love some of the new spellbinders dies and im sure they will feature! Love how you've used the ironwork for a snowflake.Emma
Morning Christine - a lovely long post from you today - it seems as though things are going in the right direction -at last - for you and your family. Loved the cartoon (Mitchell's input no doubt!) The card is lovely too. Too soon for me to be making Christmas cards though, I've still lots of family birthday cards to come up with first......
Take care. Hugs to all.

Hello Christine, glad to hear that things seem to be improving all round. I love the 'snowflake' card, the papers are so pretty. waiting to hear what you have planned for your fundraising event, sounds fun.
Well done to Elaine as well.

Hi Chris, yes I have already been making Christmas cards, never to early to start making a few. I have just bought some of the dies from c&c . Mix n Match ornaments are great. 4 different shapes plus 4 different inserts gives you a total of 20 variations, just using the inserts with the shapes. You can also use the inserts separately in a row etc. Have been playing but not made any cards yet. Now that the longest day has gone the sun has decided to come out. Looks like it's going to be a good day today. Looking forward to the charity event and the mystery kit. Janice xx
Hi Christine, love the card I love making Christmas cards and I love Christmas as it's my birthday on Christmas day it has always been special to me. Hope Elliot keeps improving and all the team are trained well especially Bella all my love Jean Z xx

Oh Christine, I can't be thinking of Christmas yet, but I can say I'm thinking of Elliott and hope the new treatment will be the right one to put him back on track.
Well done Elaine and as said before, if you can give details of how we can support and give donations to Ronald McDonald via yourself/Elaine that would be great Christine.
Love and best wishes, Carolyn. x
Hi Christine. Lovely blog today. Looking forward to hearing more about the charity appeal. If I cannot get to the studio for a class I will make up for it in some other way to help the cause. We have a champion in Elliott, so hope the the doctors can sort out his medication soon. Well done Mitchell you are certainly a valuable member of the team; also congratulations to Elaine, well done.
