Butterfly Frame

Hello friends
I'm harking back to a bit of Spring/Summer today to share with you a butterfly frame.
This was a labour of love because I covered the entire frame with one sheet of 12x12 only
to realise that when I cut it carefully to fold into the aperture there wasn't quite enough!
I sat puzzled until I hit upon the idea of making a raised cardstock platform to insert into the
aperture for the butterfly (Wonderful Wings) and embossed sentiment.
The flowers are Grand Peony Creations and my favourite Foliage stamped and embossed
with a script stamp.  The little metal crown is from Tim Holtz,
an addition of lace, twine, key and fancy corners.
Despite the hours it took, I was very happy with the end result.
So, a little snapshot of Summer - back to Winter theme and Christmas very soon!
I hope you are having an enjoyable weekend, it has turned very cold here!
Take care friends.

Have so many sets on my wish list that I hope Father Chriistmas is very good to me this year. Either that or I win the lottery!

I'm not personally a fan of metal bits and pieces, but I love the design, and would make a version for me, with die cut corners. Thank you for the idea.

Hi Christine, Back from the Centre Parcs had a great week, my daughter in law treated me to a relaxing day at the Aqua Sana Spa Thursday, very relaxing, almost as theraputic as crafting!!
Caught up with all of the weeks 'blogs' this am. Lovely idea to include the pets corner.
Also,beautiful Advent Cals from Wilma.
As for todays project, its lovely. If I recall, myself one or two others requested a Grand Peony Friday Die Day some time back - hope its still on the list somewhere?
Hope everyone is enjoying todays workshop. Crafty best wishes, Carolyn x
