With Love at Christmas!

Hello friends,
Friday Die-Day is popular - thank you all for the wonderful comments,
it makes it so worthwhile.
I only managed to go a few days without reverting back to Christmas!
Another fairly speedy card that I created recently for Make Christmas Cards -
this time a real emphasis on purple!

I'm not really a bow person but this does feature some inked vintage ribbon and
a squashed bow(!) under a Layered Poinsettia.
I did warn you...this die will be featuring A LOT over the next few months,
I love the way that the inking highlights the embossing so brilliantly.
Today I'm spending the morning in my studio and then this afternoon I hope to catch up on a couple
of hours of TV whilst ironing - life in the fast lane for me!
I have a V+ Box (similar to Sky) and it is nearly full,
I keep recording programmes but never have chance to watch them -
Downton Abbey, Parade's End, Paradise, bit of a theme...I do like a period drama.
Happy Saturday friends.
Take care.

Hi Christine, lovely card just love the colours used and the bow of course. Will have to try and get a copy of magazine to see all the cards, I can always do with inspiration. I catch up with all my recorded shows doing the ironing, like you
I like period drama.

Morning Christine, Lovely, lovely card, my favourite colour, yes !!! I absolutely love the poinsettia die, I love how the veins in the leaves show up when inked, just gorgeous.
I always put my V+ box on and catch up when ironing too, also manage to catch up every weekday for an hour whilst on my treadmill, it makes the exercise less onerous ha ha !!
Enjoy the rest of your day when the ironing is finished.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

I Christine...love this card, the colours are beautiful and I do love ribbons and bows, so it ticks all the boxes. I smiled when I read about your V Box being full. my husband pointed out the other night that we had about 8% left on our Sky+ box...it was a lot of programmes recorded & not watched but also a heck of a lot of Spellbinders shows.....:) happy ironing, I've got a pile of that too! Morning Christine. I do love that die and that backing paper is quite striking.

I love to record the whole series and watch them over a couple of nights and can fast forward the adverts lol. Can't do my ironing without watching tv lol

Hi Christine. Never thought of purple on a Christmas card but it looks fantastic. I have the poinsetta die and it looks good in every colour, not just the normal red.
I'm a Downton Abbey fan. You'll love it when you eventually have time to watch it.
Have a lovely day, apart from the ironing of course.

Hi Christine
That is a real statement card, wonderful Pointsettia, and you are giving Sue a run for her money with that bow, LOL!
Regarding all the Spellbinders shows recorded onto the Sky box, does anyone know of a quick way of saving them to disc? I am nearing the point where I may have to delete some; not a happy thought! Anne x

Hi Christine,
another fantastic card. Love the colour purple for Christmas as well a traditional colours. I am happy to use any colour for Christmas.
Enjoy your catch up tv programs while doing the ironing. yuk i hate the ironing. Have to get up really early to do mine as I get in the way of hubby otherwise. If I try to do it elsewhere the steam sets of my alarms.
Have a wonderful crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Christine, I'll start with the card, which I like very much.Although a fan of vintage, I think it has something to do with the die. Like you, I find it a very popular choice when I come to do Christmas themed projects. The bow does actually finish the card off well.
Now, it's apparent that most of us crafty girls do not like ironing but, if we have something good to watch on TV albeit recorded, we will tollerate the chore!!
Crafty best wishes, Carolyn x.

Another very pretty card & love the colours, makes a real change from the usual red & green. Happy ironing, think how chuffed you will be when it's all done ('til the next load).

Hi Christine - Love this die and the card you have produced fully agree with the use of distressing ink to bring out the pattern of embossed pieces. I too have the same programmes recorded and not, as yet, found the time to watch.
Enjoy your weekend.
