Pretty in Chintz!

Hello friends,
Today's card is featured in this month's edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine.
It is created with the bonus papers - all very pretty, country sampler style.
A good tip with these is that if you prefer thicker paper,
you can download the papers for free and print them onto your own cardstock.
For this card I've featured Jewel Flowers and Flourishes - a die set that is becoming a firm favourite!
I suspected this wasn't a great photo and now I've been on my photography course I know it's a bad one!
Apologies it is a little dark!
Back to craft... those of you who are using some of the fantastic new intricate dies you may have experienced a few tricky moments in removing the die cuts.
The perfect answer is to use waxed paper.  You place your die on your base plate, waxed paper and then your paper/cardstock.  It enables you to remove the die cut effortlessly.
I have been on a mission to find the perfect waxed paper.
In the US you can pick up waxed paper in supermarkets, frustratingly here it is much more difficult to find.  Baking liners and bread wrappers are good but I find them a little too thick.  I decided to get in touch with some companies, they kindly sent out various samples and after a time...success!
I have found dry waxed paper, nice and thin, in smaller sheets of 5.5 inches square -
so handy, no cutting from a roll.
I have ordered a large supply and I can offer 50 sheets at £2.25 - including postage and packing.
If you would like to purchase some, please drop me an email.
I'm back tomorrow friends.
Have a good day.

Your card is beautiful, great papers and I had to look twice at the flower as I thought it looked like a bought plastic type one.(like a decorative button)The colours you have used are brilliant to colour it.

A real country feel to this card Christine, would also make a great new home card. Great news about the waxed paper, thank you. I've been using baking parchment and although it helps to release the die cut it doesn't release itself! Have a great day x

Hi Christine, gorgeous, gorgeous card today. Thanks for the tip about downloading the papers, I don't like the shiny ones that are usually in the mag. I found and bought some waxed paper online but it cost three times yours - sorry I bought it now, yours is a real bargain. Crafty hugs, Anne x
