Is it too early?

Hello friends,
Is it too early...to mention Christmas!!?
I received a copy of a new magazine that I have contributed to -
Make Christmas Cards.  It fell through my letterbox when it was pouring with rain outside so I
didn't feel too silly flicking through it and feeling quite festive!
I made a total of ten projects so over the next little while I will feature them,
I'm not going to bombard you with ten Christmas things all in a row!
You receive a pack of goodies with the magazine including papers and a stamp.
This is my first project to share with you - a festive note book.
I adhered plain cardstock to some chipboard and distressed it all, some inking and then used
Layered Poinsettia (seriously love this die) and also Classic Scalloped Circles to cut one of the stickers.
I used a Bind It All to assemble the book - when I bought my Bind It All it was one of those crafty items I 'just had to have' but truthfully I did wonder how much use it would get.
Turns out I use it a great deal and I'm always buying new wires.

So yesterday I mentioned Glitz - French Kiss Collection -
Wow you all love these papers as much as I do!
I've been on a search to find some UK suppliers -
Scrap Revolution is stocking some of the extra items.
The Craftz Boutique and Samuel Taylors is stocking some of the 12 x 12 patterned papers.
Hope that helps.  As always, any questions please feel free to email.
Take care,

That's made my early start (this morning, not for Christmas) feel better! I had more or less decided to make my Christmas cards in purple, lime and white this year and that super notebook has now convinced me!

Hi Christine, that is a seriously gorgeous little book, that is my favourite Christmas die. I did a search of the internet for the papers too but they are a bit thin on the ground.

I don't think it is too early for Christmas cards, I usually have mine finished by now but have not started yet this year.....I blame all the Sports events of late.... Crafty hugs, Anne x

Hi Christine,
wonderful book. Thank you for the info on the paper stockist.
I have such trouble with my eyes these days it takes me so long to read the blogs. I have to go into view and zoom the writing. My problem is I have cysts in the back of my eyeballs, and this causes me to loose a letter when reading any thing.
So if I make a mistake along the way please excuse it.
Well that's enough about me.
Have a wonderful crafty day everyone.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.

Hi Christine, Lovely day again although more autumnal in the mornings but hey, as long as that sun shines thats all that matters.
Love your ideas today, had thought about purchasing a Binding gadget but had same views as yourself (will put it on the Christmas wish list) Of course its OK to mention Christmas, we crafters can cope with it, Christmas all year round for some. I live near Stratford upon Avon, and they have a dedicated Christmas shop in town, it is open ALL year round, always some one in there when you go past!!
Crafty best wishes, Carolyn x
PS Thank you for info re. French Kisses stash. Will look those sites up later.

hi Christine, lovely project and I would say it is not too early for the C word. I am already looking for inspiration for this years xmas cards. Will keep a look out for the magazine.

same as Carolyn, all being well, the Zutter is also on my santa wish list. BTW - I was in the christmas shop in Stratford over the summer as we had a short break there. Lovely shop, but managed to keep my purse in my bag! which is unusual as i have been known to buy xmas deccies in August!

It is never to early to start Christmas cards so all crafters will not be shunning you I am certain of it....lol!! We creafters understand the need to start early. I have started mine, slowly but surely.
This is a lovely little notebook and a smashing idea for a Christmas gift.
Thank you so much for searching out the suppliers of the paper etc, you are a treasure.

Hi Christine

I don't think its too early to start to mention Christmas, although I was in Tesco last week and they have started to bring the chocolates and mince pies in already. I did feel a bit panicky.
Gorgeous little note book. The Bind it All is a really handy tool and I've used mine quite a bit in the time I've had it. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

I'm was begining to think I'd been left behind as when I went into our local garden centre (they've just opened a new craft section) Christmas was full on including the music). Your notebook is just lovely, the colour and the poinsettia.
