May Inspiration Day

Hello friends,
I am thrilled that lots of you like the idea of the kits.  I will be sorting those shortly so please look out for them.  Back to today....what does May mean to you?
Maypoles? May Day? May flowers?
One thing that springs to my mind is that it is the shortest month to write! When I was in school (few years ago!) you always had to write the date in the top right hand corner of every page - May was speedy!
I have put together a collage of May pictures which I hope you will find inspiring.

I would absolutely love to see your creations - cards, tags, layouts, mixed media - anything!
Like last month, I will feature them here on my blog and I will send out goodies to those that join in.
Please send me an email with an image of your project to: christine.emberson@blueyonder.co.uk
by next Monday, (May Day Bank Holiday) and I will feature them on Wednesday 9 May.

Please stop by tomorrow - it's the Spellbinders Spring Blog Hop
and I will be featuring my project!
Happy crafting dear friends.

Hi Christine ,you got me thinking to my School days { a very long time ago } The male teachers always got the maypole erected on the playing field ,then we children used to practice various dances ,this used to happen about two weeks before the actual maypole day as i can recollect , then our parents and grandparents were invited along to watch the maypole dance , on this day the teachers always put fresh flowers at the top of the maypole to add to the colours of the maypole ribbons i always remember it was always hot and sunny, i dont think we ever had rain ,and we girls wore bright sunny dresses and the boys had bright shirts and a boater straw hat . After the dancing was over our parents had afternoon tea and we children had a free ice cream as a reward ,Aww such a happy memories Christine thank you for reminding me . Elaine H X

What a lovely idea! May is usually when my hanging baskets go outside, but with this horrible weather, I've not even prepared them! Also, my daughter has a mid May birthday, hoping for a nice day this year? I'll get creating!x

Afternoon Christine,
Love the flower bag in your May pics. My middle son's birthday is on the 17th so I always think about the morning he arrived and lucky me, being looked after in the hotel after!!! (one of our hospitals has a hotel and if all goes ok then you can go to the hotel instead of a ward).
Looking forward to tomorrow for your blog.
Have a great day

I don't think we celebrated May Day where I grew up in Canada but May now means the hedgerows are greening up, the magnolias are in full bloom and the clematis is starting to grow. I adore England in the Springtime. Love the photos, very inspiring, especially the clematis. Thank you Christine. Anne x

Hi Christine, love all the photos you found. I would love to say sunny May but it's a very wet start to may. Hopefully it will cheer up as its my birthday + also my sister in laws too.
I'll see what I can come up with!
Hugs Kelly
