Poinsettia Box and some thrilling news...

Hello Blog Friends,

For the last few weeks I've been on the edge of my seat wondering and hoping that
I would get through the first round of the 2012 Spellbinders Design Team.
Yesterday afternoon I received the news and it was a.....
 'YES'
(I did a little skip around the kitchen!)
I have two further rounds to go so please keep everything crossed for me.
I'm putting my serious thinking head on for the next round!

So, back to craft - continuing with the Layered Poinsettia theme!
(I will run out of projects with this soon...and then I will shock you with lots of flowers and butterflies!)

This time I'm featuring a poinsettia on top of a Square Bracket Edge Box.
This combines two of my very favourite die templates and so useful too.
To add a little more interest I set an eyelet into one edge of the box lid,
tied a bow twine and added a tiny tag with crystal gems.
I like to add just a light touch of ink to my projects, just around the edges.
I reach for the same one again and again, Ranger Distress Ink - Tea Dye.
I think all crafters have certain favourite products that they use repeatedly - what's yours?

Today is a working day for me in London, we are having a Christmas lunch so that can't be bad!
Thanks for stopping by.
Back tomorrow, have a great Thursday everyone.

Wow Christine, some news. Well I truly hope you get through the final rounds and remain on the design team for some time to come. You have some lovely inspirational ideas and I'm sure there are loads more yet to be seen.
Keeping everything x'd for you.
I love this cute little box and as to the poinsettias again, adore them so no complaints here.
My favourite product has to be my own handmade crochet ribbon. It is time consuming but I love it and find it relaxing to make and then when I add it to my handmade cards I feel so proud. It makes up into lovely flowers also. Is that a bit boastful, I hope not, its not meant to be I promise. I have two favourite inks, Broken China and antique linen; both soft colours that can add drama when needed.
I do hope you enjoy your christmas lunch today. All the best
Linda

Good luck Christine, you can do it.

I use ink a lot too but never the same colour. I probably use Tea Dye most though.
