Friday Die Day

Hello friends
For this week's Friday Die Day I'm sharing some wine with you...
well, a Wine Country collection die set so sort of!
This is Frame Charms.
8 dies in the set and the approximate measurements are:
Square Frame: 2.00 x 2.00 in 5.10 x 5.10 cm
Circle Frame: 1.90 x 1.90 in 4.80 x 4.80 cm
Rectangle Frame: 1.60 x 2.20 in 4.10 x 5.60 cm
Rod: 0.30 x 4.80 in 0.80 x 12.20 cm
Finials (2): 0.80 x 0.80 in 2.00 x 2.00 cm
Leaf 1: 0.60 x 0.70 in 1.50 x 1.80 cm
Leaf 2: 0.50 x 0.60 in 1.30 x 1.50 cm
Grapes: 0.70 x 1.20 in 1.80 x 3.00 cm
I chose to make a card using two of the frames.
First, from ivory card die cut a rectangle using Scored and Pierced Rectangles.
Leaving the die cut inside the die, I stamped using a script design,
you will see it has gone across the die (easily wiped off with a damp cloth).

This gives me the image but not over the edge.
I did not want to cover up the piercing.

I added some more stamped images (Just Rite Stamp - Greetings from Paris)
and used distress ink to the edge along with die cutting two of the frames,
again adding some distress ink to the edges.

I die cut grapes and vine leaves, then coloured with inks.

Assembling my card - threading twine through the frames,
fixing in place with 3D Foam Circles.
Securing on the reverse with Crafty Power Tape and matting onto burgundy cardstock.

Inside the frames I stamped the square and rectangle fall out piece.
Mounted onto a larger card base.

It was then a case of adding the leaves and grape clusters along
the twine and stamping a sentiment.
The finished card.

The Wine Country Collection is perfect for parties, events, thank you cards/gifts
and ticks the box for those who are not so keen on flowers!
Take a look at the full collection on the website here,
the bottle hanging dies are very popular.

A very interesting die set What a neat trick - leaving the die in place to stamp the background
