Kitty Play Dad!

Hello friends

Today is Father's Day (please look away Dad if you're reading this post first thing!)
My Dad is a complete animal lover and especially fond of his cat Lucy
so a Kitty card was the order of the day.
I used the stretching cat die from Kitty Play (on sale!)
and die cut leaving the aperture in a long piece of cream cardstock.
Onto kraft card I matted chocolate brown card and stamped 'Dad' in the bottom corner.
I tied twine twice around the bottom of the cream card piece.
The light is showing my card as rippled, no idea why!
I then die cut the paw prints from the set and applied those.
For some colour I added the vine and leaf die cut from Flower Bundle.
The finished card.
And some close up pics.
Bottoms up!
Wishing all Dads a very happy day, especially mine he is a star and I love him dearly.

My legs are working much better now, many thanks for all the kind comments and
messages, I'm celebrating with a week of dentist appointments! :(

Take care friends.

Morning Christine, A very gorgeous card, so effective, your Dad will love it.
I made a Father's Day card for my hubby from my cat Lizzie, and it had his favourite things on it, ie steam trains and cats, and I was so proud of it, and he absolutely loved it.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Hi Christine,
I love you Dad's card, it's just purrfect! (Sorry I just had to)!!!
I am glad you are getting a but more mobile, you have clearly been overdoing it, you just get exhausted specially being in London on a Thursday/Friday and the a long road trip the next day and boy do you cover some miles, maybe start planning to have atleast one weekend off per month just to recharge your batteries! Sorry I didn't mean to nag, it's just because I genuinely care ! Xx
I don't envy you the dentist appointments, are they for you? What on earth are you having done, the dentist is my major phobia, I hate everything from the smell to the chair! I had to go about two weeks ago after not going since becoming disabled in 2009 (I know)!!
Anyway I was in excruciating pain so had to make an emergency appointment, so off we trundled to Oxford, luckily it was quiet as it was 7pm, as I was sat blubbering in the corner (it's just sheer terror) I got called in and she was very nice and promised to talk me through every stage, my mouth was so painful I couldn't even bare my teeth to touch slightly, she has a good look and then (without warning) decides to bang on my teeth with the metal handle of the mirror, well I nearly flew out of the chair, she then did an X-ray, but apparently it was too pixelated so they couldn't see anything, she sent me away with a strong course of antibiotics, but by the Monday I was climbing the walls in pain, so GP sent me to A&E, after two days and a Ct scan, the diagnosis was Trigeminal Neuralgia, it's blood vessels in your brain pressing on the Trigeminal Nerve that runs across your face, the pain in my teeth was just the referred pain from this nerve, the pain goes from the top jaw, up your cheek and through your eye and into your head, there is no cure, they just try and help you manage the pain!
On a positive note.....I did find out that my teeth are fine despite no dentist interference! No cavities, phew,
I am back now to my regular visits, sorry for my absence xxx
Good luck with your dental visits, I am channelling warm, calming thoughts for you my lovely xxxxxx
Hugs to all,
Sandra xxxxx

Your Dad's card is lovely, I'm sure he will love it. Glad you are on the mend, good luck at the dentist though. I don't mind the dentist too much, but can't bear seeing the hygienist as my teeth are very sensitive.
Enjoy Fathers Day.

Hello Christine
Love the card for your dad. The aperture idea is a brilliant one, I think I'll give it a try with the dove if peace I bought earlier in the year.
Glad to hear your legs and better but how awful a week of the dentist. What on earth do you need doing if you have a week of appointments - sounds painful (in your mouth and pocket!) I hate the dentist. He practically has to wrestle my mouth open!
Good luck this week. I will be thinking of you!

Hi Christine,
What a great card. I love that kitty die and it's on my ever growing wish list lol. I hope your dad loved his card.
Oh, bad luck with the week of dentist appointments, luckily I sailed through mine last week. My early week next week is booked with the nurse at my surgery...blood pressure monitor fitted tomorrow morning and then back on Tuesday to get it off, what fun...there's almost no time for crafting lol.
Have a great week. x
