Dress up your envelopes...

Hello friends

I'm revisiting a project today as I've been asked for a few ideas on how
to create and dress up envelopes, this is one of my favourite ideas.
The die used is Butterfly Corner
The envelope is created from a length of cream cardstock,.
I cut/embossed the butterfly corner first, then inserted the remaining cardstock into the
M-Bossabilities folder with the 'corner' protruding.
A panel of coloured paper under the flap is fixed in place as a nice contrast
and the envelope is kept closed with twine - it can be thread through the hole at the point.
The very pretty embossing is Splendid M-Bossabilities  folder.

You could make a matching card or use this as a money gift wallet.

Over on the website there is a new category - Pre-Order Spellbinders®
listed is just some of the new Die D-Lites that are on their way.
Worth keeping an eye on this category as more dies will be added as soon as I have details
(I'm typing really fast to get them uploaded!)
The release date at the moment is 18 January, sometimes it does change.
If you pre-order, I will ensure they are whisked out to you the minute they arrive.

I'm preparing myself for my return to my City job tomorrow, bit of a shock to my system!
I've loved being at home, crafting and spending time with the boys.
They've enjoyed the home cooking too, so has Bella...!
Walks have been a bit foggy, soggy and muddy!
Take care friends - I'm back tomorrow.

Hi Christine. Love the envelope, it is so nice to dress them up. I hope you have a good day in the city, I thought you worked there n a Thursday though? You wouldn't guess from the photo that it is January would you, more like Autumn! Our weather is all over the place isn't it. Take care.

Lovely project Christine, it's a shame we have to work instead of crafting, but I suppose it does help pay for the addiction. Hope you have a good day, I have been called into work today to cover for sickness, so no crafting for me today.

Morning Christine,
This is so pretty and much nicer to give a gift in than a plain envelope.

Good Morning Christine,
Wow what a stunning envelope, you wouldn't want to rip that one open would you!
I love that you re visit the older dies Christine, I think that they are a huge investment in the first place and it's therefore a little bit sad not to get them out every now and then. What inspires you to go back to an older die Christine?
I will keep my fingers and everything else for a lottery win, then maybe you could afford to stay at home and just craft and inspire us all even more (not sure if that's possible though)!
We are taking our Bella (kitten) to vets tomorrow to be spayed, she had her first 'major in season' or 'estrus-cycle ' to give it it's proper name, my goodness me what a stressful time for all, but particularly poor little Bella, she didn't know what to do with herself, so I think the kindest thing to do was prevent it happening again. Have yours been 'done' Christine or are you planning to breed them?
I am off to craft with Mrs B and Pat ((Witney) and I can't wait, two amazing friends and the beginning of a new year of crafting together!
Huge hugs everyone,
Sandra xxxxxx

Hello Christine. Poor envelopes usually get so neglected. This would make a lovely wallet for money or a voucher and I have also neglected my corner dies. All this will change. Thank you for the inspiration and enjoy being back at work. xxMargaretxx

I love this idea it gives a very 'exclusive' look. I don't remember seeing it before so it's new to me at least. Had a quick look at some of the pre-order Spellbinders - love the cute little animals!

Hi Christine, what a brilliant idea. I love it and will definitely give this one a go. Thank you for the inspiration.
Good luck for tomorrow. I returned to work on Monday so have my first couple of days under my belt - so to speak.
Will have a look at the pre-order section now.

Hi Christine
A beautiful envelope. I have been embossing the flaps of ready made envelopes and I love the added luxury it gives a boring white envelope.
I have just completed my 3rd day back at work and found it very difficult to get out of bed this morning! I hope you find it easier tomorrow. I love being at home with my family and enjoy cooking for them all. It makes me feel like a proper mum.
I like the idea of a pre-order section of the website. I will take a look after I have sent this comment.
Take care. Good luck tomorrow.
