Out for Lunch

Hello friends

I hope you all had a great weekend, I didn't quite get around to everything I
needed to do - the crafting definitely took over!

In the midst of my busy busy day today I'm going out to lunch!
It's a special occasion - my good friend and previous Spellbinders Design Team
Coordinator - Cathy Chlebana has flown in from Chicago.
Her and her hubbie visited last year too and I cannot wait to catch up with them both today.
We are going out to Meopham for a proper pub lunch.
I'm also at the same pub on Wednesday - goodness - diet in January!

And now to something crafty...
It being 1st December it should be festive so how about a tree..
I made this tree last year and I also ran it as a class in the studio/shop.
They are really simple to make, a polystyrene cone is inside covered with a piece of 12 x 12
paper.  It is then just a case of making up approximately 72 Spiral Blossoms to decorate it!
It's best to cut them first and sit in front of the TV one evening and start rolling.
The top decoration is a little chalkboard design that I created but sadly lost on my old PC
but you could easily use a stamped image.
If you select a smaller cone it is a less blossoms and great for table decorations and/or
name places.  There are a variety of Spiral Blossoms available on the website here.

Take care friends and stop by tomorrow for Tuesday Tip/Technique.

Good morning Christine
A great flowery tree - this would look good as a wedding table decoration too. You could make the flowers to coordinate with the wedding colours.
Enjoy your lunch today and on Wednesday. Diets always take a bashing at this time of year. I like to think of it as damage limitation rather than a diet!
Take care
Lesley

Wow Christine I love that tree, your pure genius mind in action once again! Where do you get all these ideas from, I can imagine you keep waking during the night and scribbling notes on a Spellbinders, ornately decorated note pad!
Now my imagination is going astray!
That pub looks fab Christine, I have a feeling it will be a very long lunch! Relax and enjoy!
Can't wait for tomorrow's tip/technique
Hugs

Ps . Did you get a chocolate in your calendar this morning? ( I sat and filled 6 Advent calender last night, I felt a bit sick after as I kept 'trying' the chocolates, purely for quality control of course! X

Hi Christine.
I love this tree, and it can be tweeked to suit size and colour schemes so it is a real winner. I hope you had a lovely lunch with your friends : ) The pub looks lovely, all logs fires and wooden settles, just my type of thing. Take care.
