Crafty Tuesday Tip!

Hello friends

I'm blogging from Torquay and I've been going back through some of my 2012
blog posts and seeking out crafty tips and reminders!

I thought it would be good today to mention the stencilling use of your dies -
it does get forgotten!
Virtually all the Spellbinders dies allow you to stencil through while the die cut is still in place,
this truly enhances your piece and is especially effective with Foliage.
I tend to use Distress Ink - Forest Moss a lot!
Another technique is to use your Glimmer Mists.
Position your die on your project.
Spritz away!  Allow to dry before removing the die.  Your die is easily cleaned with a baby wipe.
You then have an effective background.
It is great to make optimum use of your dies and I will continue to bring you
as many ideas as possible.

Tomorrow the Tool n One is going to be on Home Shopping Network.
We can view HSN here in the UK via their website - www.hsn.com
there is a link at the top of their home screen that says 'watch'.
Unsure of times at the moment but they will update their listings.

Take care friends - another holiday update on its way!
Having a brilliant time.

Morning Christine, I don't have any spritzer inks, but I have just got my airbrushing set, so I can foresee a lot of playing with my dies, as well as the stencils I am collection. I just need to finish a big quilt I've been working on for over two years, then I am going to craft to my hearts content for a while.

Another great tip Christine, you are right, we do need reminders occasionally of different techniques.
Enjoy your day, and hope the sun shines for you.

Hi Christine. Sorry, for some reason I didn't leave a comment yesterday but thanks for the lovely pics of Torquay, what a lovely view you can look at while eating some of the goodies in the hamper : ) What a lovely write up about your fundraising, so good to know that others are able to use R MD's houses. We have close friends that have used the Great Ormond Street one several times while one of their sons was having treatment, it made such a difference to an already awful time. So glad that the charity kits will continue.
Thanks for the reminder to use the dies as stencils, I do ink through them but haven't tried spritzing, yet : )
I hope the weather is being kind to you all. Have a great day. Take care.

Morning Christine,
Hope you are all having a great time, and the sun is shining for you.
Good to be reminded of techniques from time to time, I think we all get carried away when we find something new and then forget the old ones.
Take care.

Good morning Christine, those foliage dies are my most used dies I think, every time I put a flower on the foliage dies come out, I haven't spritzed through them yet though, I must try, just to give that little extra depth and dimension.
Please take a break from blogging and enjoy your precious time with your boys, we will still be here when you get back!
How many cream teas have managed so far?
Will you be having more 'tool n one' tools in stock? As I would like one and would much rather give you my business!
Holiday hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxx

Hi Christine
Thank you for the tip reminders, I certainly need them! I'm going to look forward to Tuesday's as much as Friday's now 😊
I have never tried spritzing, so must give that a go sometime. Love your tag, you always make a plain brown tag so very pretty and interesting!
Hope you are having a great time in Torquay. We are in Paris for four days celebrating my OH's 65th birthday. Fantastic service from Ebbsfleet I must say. The train left at 8.15 and we were in our hotel by 11.15 (UK time)!

Lovely tag - very 'Christmassy' colours. I've never tried spritzing through, but I often use distress inks with my dies.
Hope Torquay is living up to expectations. Weather here in Kent has been changeable to say the least, but it's set to get warmer from tomorrow. With any luck it will be similar where you are.

Hi Christine, Elliott and Mitchell. You all appear to be having a great time in Torquay, hope the sun shines brightly for the second half of the week.
My favourite die has to be the Papillon, and I also like the Fleur de Lys rectangle and of course a labels die, labels Four is well used! Anne x
