Hello friends,
Back today with another card that is featured in this month's edition of
Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine. This is a card to display various embossing techniques and I've managed to incorporate quite a few.
Personally I think the card is crying out for a die-cut flower and butterflies but I didn't
want to detract from the actual techniques.
I've embossed onto foil using the Whimsy M-Bosssabilities, sanding the surface to reveal the silver.
For the yellow panel embossed again using Core'dinations cardstock and sanding the surface.
Finally for the Labels Twenty Two, I used a mask, embossed and then stencilled through with distress inks.
The magazine have featured this card the other way up..
that sometimes happens but actually it sort of works both ways!
Any sunshine where you are??
Back tomorrow for that..Friday thing!
Take care friends.

Hi Christine, what is sunshine, we have misty drizzle today. Yesterday we had a couple of hours of lovely sun but then down came the rain. I hope it improves for our village gala on Saturday, we have not had one for twenty years and a lot of effort has gone I to this one. Back to your card love the variety of embossing on one card, I like the way you open my eyes on what can be achieved.

Hi Christine, the different papers embossed really make this card 'pop'. I love the effect on the foil especially.
Have a good day everyone! Carole Z X
Hi Christine, I agree with you that the card is crying out for a flower or butterfly...hehehe!!! The card is very cheerful and I love all the techniques you have used.
The sun is actually shining here at the moment - but will it last? Hope so but we will have to wait and see.
Looking forward to tomorrow for that "Friday thing".

Lovely card Christine the metal/foil looks stunning xx hazel
Hi Chrisitine - another lovely card but do agree a flower or two would add that "something"
Hi Christine. Your card really shows what can be done,it does look good as it is,but I agree with you a flower or butterfly would look nice. x.
No sunshine here Christine, I did catch a glimpse of blue sky between the dark grey clouds yesterday but nothing today! Am liking this card and the techniques especially the effect on the foil. Wow, it's almost Friday already! x
Morning Christine,
No sun here yet but its very warm stormy even.
Very pretty card but yes a flower or butterfly would be nice as well.
Have a goo d day,

Hi Christine, Loving the card & all the techniques. I did not know that you could buy coloured metal. It looks amazing when sanded back to reveal the core. Must give this a try.
Love this embossing folder and it looks so good sanded back

Hi Christine.
Bought my first M-Bossability folder yesterday and looking forward to using it. Love your card, just the inspiration I was needing. I think I will sneak in a butterfly on it somewhere though! Anne x
Fabulous card Christine! Love the colours! I love the foil panel and the lemon panel!

Hi Christine, loving the colours and how the embossing looks so different on each type of card/foil. Now that we have all seen it, I think the odd flower and butterfly or two would look perfect too. Beautiful card. Crafty hugs, Anne x
hi Christine
I have seen this card in the magazine and it is a great way to show the embossing. Neve tried working with foil, must put this on my 'to try' list!
Unfortunatley, I don't think we have seen the sun here in the North East for many weeks now, (and they are forcasting an awful lot of rain this weekend, AGAIN, hope we don't get any flash flooding!)
take care everyone and hoping for sunshine!

Love the embossing on this - its nice to see the different techniques. The colours are fab too! Must get the mag! xx
The techniques look beautiful on your card Christine. I think a flower would just add a little bit of pizzazz but no to a butterfly (I don't like them much - I know, I know - shoot me!!) I love the effect on metal especially. I've tried the Coredinations card and love it ,it sands beautifully. Anyway just thought I would let you know - here I am in SUNNY Nottingham - mind you hubby says it is going to bucket it down tomorrow! The awful thing is that he is usually right, something about when he used to work on farms!!
Hugs Sue P xx
Lovely work - showcases the different techniques. Thanks for sharing, jenx
Hi Christine, I like the embossing you've done on this card, especially on the foil...:)..xx
Love this card ,sun shinning here nearly broke my shorts out .Melanie
Great techniques..but definitely needs a butterfly!!
We had sun in Essex but I was at work and the ward was like an oven and the patients were hot and tetchy!(Not to mention the nurses!!!)
Great idea, I think it looks just right as it is, it always amazes me how many different ideas you come up with Christine, you always think out the box. Brill, take care Alison :)
Hi Christine,
I do hope you have had the sun we had here in South Wales today.
Not too sure about this card, I am sorry. I love all the ideas you have used, but something isn't sitting right with me. Oh dear I feel horrid, I adore your work and here I am criticising. I hope you will forgive me, my excuse is that I can't like everything, can I. So sorry.
Hugs Linda x
