July Inspiration Gallery

Hello friends,
It's Gallery Day!
Today I get to show you some wonderful creations inspired by these photos.
I'm thrilled at the amount of projects I received this month, I have a feeling that a lot of us
have been indoors crafting because the weather is nothing like Summer!
First up we have Sarah.
I'm guessing Sarah was inspired by the picture of strawberries!
But not only that, Sarah is from Tiptree and she says...
"Summer in Tiptree means strawberries!
Strawberry picking, strawberry eating and the smell of jam wafting across the village from the Wilkins factory. After all, Tiptree is where the best jam is made!!"
It's a superb card and I love the little punched flowers as strawberry stems, the check that looks like a picnic blanket.  Fantastic sentiment stamped on to Floral Ovals.
Great card - thank you Sarah.

Next we have Anne.
Anne says "When I think of summer, I think of beautiful flowers, parks, picnics and children playing."
Anne has created this very pretty card using Large Scalloped Octagons, matted and layered them, the coloured image is so sweet.
Gorgeous card Anne - thank you.

Next we have Liz.
A beautiful pink and green card which is so summery, I espy the pretty butterflies!
The Edgeabilities work so well on striped paper and the lovely flower on to top of the bow is from Snowflake Pendants
So lovely - thank you Liz.

Next we have Carole.
What an amazing beach scene!
Carole says: "I was inspired by the beach and bunting photos, I used a Michael Powell beach hut stamp, coloured it with Flexmarkers and die cut it using Labels Twenty Four, which I also used to cut another piece of card to mat and layer. I then embossed some Core'dinations card with the M-Bossabilities Patchwork folder and sanded it to reveal the core. I used a digi-stamp for the bunting and finished off by using the centre die from the Aster Flower Topper, some 'rope' ribbon, bakers twine and gems!"
Isn't it amazing! It makes me crave ice cream just looking at it!
A perfect Summer card - thank you Carole.

Now we turn to Lydia who is a super-crafter!
She has sent along three cards.
Her first card is made using Dufex
Lydia says "It is for a friend's Godmother who is over 90 and sits watching the birds where she
lives in Ireland" The sentiment is placed on Fancy Tags Three.
Her next card uses the lovely Rose Creation - the mixture of white,
peach and apricot colours makes this card good enough to eat!
Lydia's third card features Moroccan Motifs and Daisy Flower Topper - until I saw this I had never thought of layering these two together but doesn't it look brilliant!
Thank you so much Lydia for your lovely cards.

Next is Kathy.
Kathy was inspired by the blue of the sky with the daisy
photograph in the gallery and created this brilliant layered card.
Kathy says - "enjoy layering the Spellbinders dies, there are always new combinations to find."
I think I've counted 7 layers here and they work perfectly together.
I must take a leaf out of Kathy's book and remember to layer more!
Thank you so much for a very clever pretty card.

Next we have Theresa.
Theresa has been very busy creating this lovely card with matching envelope and gift bag.
Theresa says "I was inspired by the last photo to make a project using my flowers stamps and a butterfly mask.  The deck chairs on the beach image brought back happy memories of eating ice cream. Neopolitan is my favourite, so that sorted out the colour scheme. The lawn photo inspired me to create a vertical pattern and my final piece of inspiration came from a tutorial on making a gift bag from a DL envelope (I can't remember who it was by - LOL!)"
I think the colour combination here is perfect and and I love the background pattern -
it all works so well together.  How lovely to receive all of these.
Thank you Theresa.

Next we turn to Elaine (Nattyboots)
She has put together a lovely sweet card here with the addition of lots of little butterflies.
A very nice touch with the lace top and bottom and the heart shaped brad.
The pretty white semi circle reminds me of a lacy tablecloth.
Elaine says "Been singing Summer Days from Grease all morning!"
Thank you Elaine.

Next up with have Sue
Sue has created a brilliant humorous card for her friend's birthday.
I'm rather partial to a Gin and Tonic myself so this did make me laugh.
Superb embossing here and layering Labels Fourteen and using them for the 'gin' sentiment works perfectly.
The colours tone so very well.
Thank you Sue.

Next we have Elaine.
The freshness of pale green and white and look...all those beautiful butterflies!
Lovely border and the pearls look so pretty
Thank you Elaine.

Next we have Barbara.
Barbara has sent across some amazing felt project - a Summery Moroccan Twist
Barbara says: "I thought these would add a touch of the exotic to any picnic table."
And how perfectly right - these are so bright and cheerful and, as I keep say - cutting felt is very addictive!
Barbara has also made one here to celebrate 4th July.
Absolutely brilliant!
Thank you Barbara.

And next Oksana.
Lady in red....
Oksana says: "I used simple stamping, with my rose stamp (roses remind me of the summer)
and created the ruffles for the dress to add dimension, along with some embellishments.
Had to use a Spellbinder die also!"
I love this, the ruffles look superb and using Floral Ovals reminds me of an elegant frame/mirror.
That is one very pretty stamp too!
Thank you Oksana.

Next we have Melanie.
Melanie has created this beautiful banner especially for her second granddaughter's bedroom.
Fantastic use of Nested Lacey Pennants, layering them up works brilliantly.
Using white with little touches of colour is so striking and I spy a little butterfly too!
Thank you Melanie.

Many many thanks to all those that have taken part in this month's gallery.
Gifts will be on their way to you soon
(I was quite organised earlier in the week so some may have already arrived!)
Back tomorrow.  Take care friends.
