It is Monday..again!
I'm glad to say this is my last time that I'm working in London at the beginning of the week,
reverting back to working on Thursdays and Fridays next week and in between - lots and lots of craft!
Today I'm featuring a card that is in this month's Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine -
Bonus Papers - now I have to admit the papers were not my cup of tea but once I played around with them they sort of grew on me!
A very simple card with scallop borders and a stamped Classic Scalloped Circle.
Also I would like to show you this card.
Elaine (aka Nattyboots) kindly made this for Bella after she won a prize recently and I have to say
it is the first piece of post
Bella has ever received - much excitement!
She likes to read it often!
Take care friends, hope you have a rain-free day!

Hi Christine, nice card, like you said, I'm not too keen on the papers, but nice idea what you have done with them. Just love how Bella is posing with Elaine's thank you card, she seems to have a right character! Quite bright here today so far, here's hoping. Take care Alison :)
Hi Christine, Love the papers and how you have used them. Bella is such a character and seems to know the card is for her. We have lots of rain this morning, what's new?
Wilma

Hi Christine. You have done well with a very busy paper on this card I think it has made a really nice card.
Bella looks lovely, she is so cute her first card is lovely too. x.
Morning Christine i see what you mean about the paper. lovely card though xx hazel
That was so lovely of Nattyboots to do a card for Bella, although Bella does deserve it! The papers would not be my first choice but once you worked your magic they look quite nice. Hope you have a good day and roll on next week! Crafty hugs, Anne x
Hi Christine, i just love your card and i seem to be the only one so far that just love the papers too so busy i know , but a little on a card will go a long way to my way of thinking.
Im pleased Bella likes her card she"s a little cutie
Take Care Elaine H X
Hi Christine, How adorable does Bella look reading her post! She is so cute. I like the way you have kept from placing too much over the busy patterned paper. It makes a statement all on it's own. I have a tendency to overdo things.
I really like the style of your card but, like you, not sure about the paper. How nice of Elaine to make Bella such a lovely card! Bella looks like she really appreciates it too! Its good this is the last week of your Monday and Tuesdays working. It will be so nice for you to be back to your favourite days xx
Hi Christine - I love these papers - ie to look at - however I would struggle to use them because they are sooo busy. I do love the card you have made though - the twine and the use of the scalloped greeting is just right.
AS for Bella's card - she is very lucky to have been sent such a beauty. Mind you she does look as if she's about to ask "can I eat it"? Bless her.
Hugs Sue P xx
Hi Christine, I agree with you about the papers, when I saw this card I did think it looked lovely. It is obviously your touch that did it...hehehe.
Lovely card to Bella too. She is a little celeb now don't you think? Bless her.

Hi Christine,
lovely card. I like the paper, but then I'm a fan of a lot going on in a card. I really like anything to do with birds, butterflies, and dragon flies. I think they are so pretty. The weather in Kent is overcast but dry thank goodness, but then you would know as you live in this area. Have a good crafty day.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
I love the paper on the first design - very william morris. jenx
I quite like the patterned paper but I don't often use the papers inside the magazines...too thin and shiny. I do like your card though.
Bella looks happy with her card too!
Hallo Christine,
The paper reminds me of William Morris designs, I like what you have done with it, keeping it simple and allowing the busy design to do the work is the right thing to do when it comes to bold repeat prints.
How sweet of Elaine to make Bella her own card. I really think we should upgrade her position on the blog, she is as popular as you Christine!
Look out everyone, there's more rain on its way ---another excuse for more crafting! Best wishes, Carolyn x.
What colourful, and busy, paper but I really like it. Love the way you have used it on the card. Keep posting photographs of Bella, she is so cute. Anne
My first thought was William Morris when I saw this paper, I do agree though, it is a very busy paper. you have adapted it well though Christine and it just goes to show you should never judge a paper by it's looks!! Bella is still looking so cute with her shorter hairstyle x
Beautiful card Christine! A gorgeous card for Bella she seems very pleased with it!
