The Decorated Jar

Hello friends,
I think I may have mentioned from time to time that I like to do a bit of altered art/mixed media items, well it appears that each time I appear on Create and Craft I seem to conjure up a decorated jar!
On Saturday it was a tag created with Antique Frame and Accents, cut from burgundy cardstock,
I retained the middle section and the pearl swirl enabled that stay in place.
Added a photo of my lovely Mum when she was a little younger,
a flower from the same set and then vintage ribbon and twine.
On a previous occasion I designed this tag...
But when it comes to my favourite decorated jar ..I think it may be this one...
A lot of my jars are recycled - I always look for gift sets of preserves and fruit
more for the shape of the jar than the contents!
Tomorrow Bella will be picking out four names for the 'Candi' and I will post the winners on Thursday.
Have a lovely day.

Hi Christine, all your decorated jars are gorgeous. I used to do this quite a lot, but before Spellbinders came along and you've inspired me to do it again. Loved the one with your Mum when you showed it on TV, she will love it Carole Z X

Hi Christine. The tags on the jars add that extra finish to a present. So pretty and I do love Samantha Walker's designs.
This is a great idea for experimenting with dies, textures and colours - cards in miniature - yet a useful end product. AnneRD

This is such a great idea Christine - it seems a shame to through nice shaped jars away and this gives them another life

Evening Christine, I have never attempted to decorate any glass or unusual containers before but after seeing these you have enhanced so beautifully I must try and see what I can come up with.

Hi Christine
Boy don't you look like your mum, she's lovely.
I love all the jar/tags but I think my favourite is the same as yours: the third one. Such a lovely idea to completely alter the top, it makes it so pretty.
Good luck to everyone that entered the draw.
Hugs Linda
