Beautiful Bella Clair Border

Hello friends

Today's card features another die from the Venise Lace collection,
designed by Becca Feeken.
This is the Bella Clair Border.

Becca was inspired by Italian lace for this die collection
and they are truly romantic and beautiful.
My card uses the outer bottom die to create a solid scalloped edge
and then overlayed the lace die cut.
Patterned paper, printed ribbon and some flowers that I estimate are about
6 years old - amazing what you find at the bottom of boxes!

Bella Clair Border is available to pre-order on the
website here, arriving later this month.

In other news - thank you for the kind messages,
I'm still hanging onto my kidney stone despite trying to drown it!
I'm looking for any tips/advice - banana stem juice is one method of eradicating
it along with lemon and cranberry juice, I prefer the sound of the latter!

Please stop by tomorrow - it's Hump Day Giveaway!

Take care friends.

Charity Kit Day!

Hello friends

First Sunday of the month and that means Charity Kit Day!

Elliott and I were delighted to receive a letter last week from
Ronald McDonald House Camberwell confirming that the amount raised so far is...

£1,655!

THANK YOU - you buy the kits each month and the proceeds help maintain
the 24 bedroom house in Camberwell providing free accommodation to over
500 families a year.

Elliott outside the house - a few years ago!

Hope and Chances have been awarded a plaque to be placed on a wooden bird
that adorns the Tree of Life at the Ronald McDonald House.
Elliott already has his name on a leaf for monies raised when
we had the charity event at the shop a few years ago - so we've progressed to a bird!
Apparently the tree is now coloured - I'll share photos as soon as I can.

So with this fantastic news I shall reveal the kit for this month!

I've chosen a card with dies designed by Stacey Caron - Rebel Rose Collection.
to create a silver and white CAS card with a blue/teal flower.

All the bits and bobs -

Included in your kit:

White card base and envelope
Card mat with pre-cut aperture (Label 57) and stamped sentiment
Square silver foil card
Die cut - Untamed Fleur
Flower and leaf die cuts - pre-inked!
Gemstone
Full instructions
Lucky number

All you need is adhesive.

As always, inside your kit is a lucky number and if you hold
the winning ticket your prize is a goody bag containing
dies, stamps and more.

The price of this month's kit inclusive of packing and posting is £4.95
As mentioned, all proceeds go to Ronald McDonald House, Camberwell.
I have placed a PayPal button below, it is also possible to alter
quantities should you wish to order more.

It is now possible to purchase this kit via
the website here -
subject to availability.

Thank you all so much for your continued support -
we are now four years on and still going strong!

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day...on a Saturday!

Hello friends

What's this?  Friday Die Day on a Saturday!?
When you have an unexpected stay in hospital things go a little awry.
I appear to a have a kidney stone and let's just say they
don't half hurt!  I still have it, it wants to stay but at least I'm
back home now,  I can sit at my desk for a little while
and get things back to normal(ish).
I'm very much hoping my stone and I part company soon...!

This week I'm featuring Rise 'n Shine - one of the Little Red Wagon
dies designed by Debi Adams.

7 dies in the set and the approximate sizes are:

Small Star: 0.45 x 0.40 in. 1.1 x 1.0cm
Sun Face: 0.75 x 0.75 in. 2.0 x 2.0cm
Medium Star: 1.00 x 0.95 in. 2.5 x 2.4cm
Moon: 0.70 x 1.60 in. 1.8 x 4.0cm
Cloud: 2.00 x 1.30 in. 5.0 x 3.5cm
Sun Beams: 2.20 x 2.15 in. 5.6 x 5.5cm
Umbrella: 1.75 x 2.00 in. 4.4 x 5.0cm
I
This is how they look cut/embossed.

For my card design I chose to use the umbrella and cloud dies.
I die cut three of each and also the clouds from silver mirror card to shadow them.
Love the stitching detail around the edge of the clouds.

My 5 x 7 card base matted with dotty paper -
My Mind's Eye - All is Bright.
Red twine tied to the left hand side and a typed and die cut sentiment.

Each brolly adorned with a little flower (die set - Swallow and Heart).

My finished card - I moved the twine bow down to the bottom left
and added Classic Heart die cut.

I thought afterwards I could have added little gemstones for rain drops.

Rise 'n Shine is available on the website here and don't forget...

The free shipping ends tomorrow - Sunday, it has proved a great success
and kept Elliott wonderfully busy - thank you!

Take care friends - have a lovely weekend and please stop by tomorrow -
Charity Kit Day!

Plaid Today

Hello friends

It's still not too late to comment on yesterday's post -
Wednesday Hump Day Giveaway.
Congratulations again to Tracey who won

Today I'm sharing a card project that has just been featured
on the Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog here.

It has a more masculine feel to it with the plaid paper -
Authentique - Rugged.

The dies featured are Hemstitch Rectangles
(available to pre-order on the website),
Classic Hearts and
little flower and foliage - found in my die cut bits and bobs tin!

The full tutorial showing Crafty Foam Tape and 3D Foam Squares
is here if you fancy a nose and even better if you can leave a comment please.

So the weather has taken a downwards turn, lots of rain yesterday
so a depressed Bella who chose to sleep most of the day.

Take care friends.
