With Love...

Hello friends

I've started to receive photos of this month's Charity Kit,
this is the bit I really love - seeing how you make up the kits.
Here is Gillian's - she's added some gold edging, it looks beautiful.

And Janet's is so pretty with the dotty paper.
Thank you ladies for emailing your pictures.

A project of mine has just appeared on the Spellbinders Idea Gallery,
a simple pocket-style card incorporating Curved Borders Two and Hat Pins.
The pins are so sweet to use, I've placed some pattern paper inside but charms
and Ice Resin also works brilliantly.
The papers here are Cosmo Cricket - Honky Tonk.
And now some info...
Susan asked: "What is the difference between Borderabilities and Edgeabilitites?"
I'm not sure what the official word is but to my mind
Edgeabilities cut an extendable straight edge with a pattern onto your card like a
border punch with a one inch repeating pattern.
Borderabilities tend to have a larger repeating pattern and the outer edge come in an assortment of
shaped edges, curved, scalloped etc.  I hope that helps.

A word about knitted squares - I know some of you are still knitting and
that is wonderful, thank you so much.  I do not mind when you send them,
I feel this could be an ongoing project with various blankets to be created and
then donated/raffled for charity.

Take care friends - hope you are all keeping safe and dry.

Oh, this has reminded me I forgot to take a Photo of my finished recipe book to send you - I'm so sorry! I made it to give to my 88 year old Mum for Christmas, and filled it with recipes for one, as she can never think what to cook for herself, and for cakes, as she loves baking (and despite being skinny, can polish off a whole large cake in two sittings!). I was a bit worried that her arthritic hands might find all the tags and pockets too much, but I was wrong - she is absolutely thrilled with it. In fact she says it's the best thing I've ever made for her. Thanks for the kits and the wonderful inspiration.

Hi Christine
Lovely boxes, my kit has arrived and I will be putting it together soon. I do like your pocket card, another great idea you are sharing with us, thank you.
Thinking of Elliott, cannot quite work out when his last treatment will be as he must have had a day off for New Years Day. It will be big hugs all around I'm sure. Anne x

Hello Christine, Christmas is now over and normal service is resumed. If only the wind and rain would join us.
I haven't started my cookbook yet so when the box will be completed heaven knows.
Counting down the days for Elliott's treatment to finish.

Love the card Christine, and as I type, I'm watching C&C with new Creative Expressions dies on the show. What with them, Justrite and Spellbinders, I'm getting a tad confused about what is what, though they are all pretty. Sent my squares on Friday, so you will probably get then towards the end of the week.

Hi Christine, Just love the little card with the hatpins. Well done ladies, your cards and gift boxes look great, all different effects using the same design. Its amazing how everybody can create something different putting their own spin on things.
You really have started something Christine, how many blankets do you think you will end up with? Now that answere could be a competition to have on the blog, what do you think?
Take care, love carolyn.

Great examples of the kits today. Some crafters don't mess about on receiving your kits do they? I'm afraid I tend to hang on to new things for ages before I use/make them. Procrastination should have been my middle name!
Thank you for answering my query - it did help. Sometimes even simple things aren't obvious immediately. Love the project featured in the idea gallery.
