Monday Madness!

Hello friends
Madness?
Well yes, I need to start tidying up like mad in the studio/shop -
it has become a little bit of a dumping ground recently.
Starting this Saturday the shop will be open regular hours so I need to
get things ship shape.
If you have visited the shop you will know it is more of a working studio
but the shop side is expanding and likely to expand a little more soon...

Next month I will be visiting 'Stitches' - The Craft Hobby and Stitch International
Show at NEC Birmingham.  This is the place were retailers/buyers
are tempted by lots of goodies to put into their shops.
Last year my main purchases were SpellbindersWOW! Embossing
I imagine I will be tempted again (of course I will!!) and if you feel there
are any products I should definitely be stocking I am open to ideas.

I'm guessing quite a few of you managed to do some crafting at the
weekend - terrible weather! I settled down to crocheting more
squares together, I'm not speedy but I'm getting there and enjoying it immensely.
I've been doing the downwards joining and then I decided I wanted to add more
so my system went a little awry!
The fluffy looking object in the top right hand corner is Bella's toy!
I was standing on a chair to get an aerial shot and she deposited the toy at the
precise moment I took the photo - she's into everything!

I know some of you have mentioned you still have squares and should you send
them...yes please!  Definitely ongoing - I could see this as my next hobby!

Take care friends,
enjoy your Monday...
I know Mondays are not the nicest days of the week but let's try :)

Hi Christine. It is so easy to make a space into a dumping ground isn't it! Sure you will get it sorted though. It's lovely to see all of the wonderful colours and patterns of the squares, you are doing a grand job joining them all up! Weather here is awful today, it's making up for being mild on Saturday : ( Stay safe everyone. Take care.

Morning Christine,
You have put the colours for the blanket together beautifully. I think Bella may want to snuggle up in it when it's finished. Happy tidying.

Morning Christine

Hope you soon get the shop sorted its amazing how quick things get done when you have a plan. I would love to go to the show with you but I can imagine I would be almost bankrupt with all the stuff for sale
I am having a new carpet fitted today so its a nice Monday for me as I will get the house back into some order when its done, my craft room is full of furniture so no crafting at the moment
Love the blanket and Bella did make me giggle leaving her toy to get into the shot

Morning Christine, Wow the crocheting is coming on beautifully, and Bella is so clever, wanted her toy in the piccie haha.
Yesterday I was doing a mammoth die-cutting session with the new Heartfelt Creations Majestic Morning, I cut 7 sets and each set has 11 flowers in it. I got a twined heart and painted it with white acrylic and I am going to make up all the flowers and attach, together with foliage, to the heart and then ribbon and a banner with 'Thinking of You' on it, as my next door neighbour is going in for an operation, she has a brainstem tumour (the second one), and I hope it will give her some 'calm'.
Have a lovely day.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

I too knit squares, usually on an evening in front of the tv to stop me eating junk.! I have always sewn mine together but yours look much better crocheted. Could you give your followers a lesson on how to do this, that would be really helpful. Keep up the good work. Many thanks.

Hi Christine, Blanket looking good wish I could crochet it's such a lovely hobby. Our local heritage shop makes lots of knitted and crochet things to sell and they will teach people too so I will have to go and down and have a go. love Jean Z xx

Hello Christine. I'm surprised we didn't have Bella in the middle of the blanket. The squares are lovely - so bright and cheerful - and with all that devotion in each one no wonder you are enjoying working with them. Have a happy tidying day. xx Margaretxx

Lovely to see a blanket emerging, and wondering if any of those are my squares. Well done!

Hi Christine, I am sure your shop will get sorted soon - I don't think I have 'virtually' known anyone who is as organised as you are. As for the blanket, I think this is coming along beautifully and there may just be a taker for it - when someone puts their toy very near methinks she wants to keep it!!! Ooops. Those squares are such amazing colours, I love the autumnal shades on the left of your pic!

Hugs to you Sue Pxxx
