B is for Birthday!

Hello friends

I hope you had a good weekend.
Wonderful comments yesterday thank you -
I think I may have impressed the Scrapbook Adhesives people :)

Pat S Witney made an enquiry about a blog post back in July 2011,
the image with the owl and the pussycat - it is actually a cartoon, not a stamp
but wouldn't it be a great design.... I may have to mention it to some stampy people.

Today's card is bright and Spring-like and is also featured in the Q and A section
of this month's edition of Cardmaking and Papercraft Magazine.
The first day of Spring is 20 March so a little bit of a wait
but in between we can enjoy some crafty brightness!
I've used Edgeabilities® - Classic Scallop, the edge die and also the insert.
I feel a little bit sorry for Edgeabilities - they seem to get a little forgotten!
All Edgeabilities are on sale at the moment - bargains on the website :)

Some of you have noticed the drawing of Elliott on the sidebar,
this is the link to Charity Kits on the website.
The very talented SJ - Little Musings, drew this image a few years ago.
I absolutely love it - she captured Elliott brilliantly.

I'm working away on joining the knitted squares - my assistant Bella...
who frankly does little assisting!
Pom poms...they are breeding!

When I returned to my City job last week I learned that my
work colleague Kelly and her brother are doing a half marathon and they
have chosen to run in aid of The Royal Marsden.
They have set up a Just Giving page here with all the details and
there is a quite a few photos of Elliott too!

I know this is a charity close to many people's hearts.

Take care friends and may you have a brilliant start to your week.

Good morning Christine,
Adorable pictures of Bella, perhaps she is after a mini square blanket. I love your Spring card, we certainly need some spring colour injected into our lives at the moment, although the sun did shine for a little while here yesterday.
Have a good week,
Chris X

Hi Christine. Love the bright and fresh card, just what we need on a dull day. Roll on brighter days, can't come quick enough for me. The drawing of Elliott is great isn't it. Bella looks like she is one content little dog, all snuggled up with you, just managing to lay on a little of the blanket, no matter how much you try to keep it out of her way.....Yes I know dogs : ) Wonderful that your workmates are fund raising for The Royal Marsden too. Well done to them. Take care.

Morning Christine, gorgeous cheerful card, I also rarely use the edgeabilities, maybe that can be this years resolution to use them more. Gorgeous photos of the ever so helpful Bella! Emma x

I don;t know about a brilliant start to the week Christine, but at least the sun is shining here, after an absence of about a week.

Love the pics. and the card.

Good morning. Bella looks so cute - I think she really does want to help, but failing that a cuddle will do. Such a lovely card with the promise of spring to come. I too forget about the poor edgeabilities. Todays job is to hunt them out and put them to use. xxMargaretxx

Hi Christine
I just love your spring. Hope that Bella is careful of the needle while helping to sew the blankets. Love the picture of Elliot. Thanks for answering my query regarding the owl and the cat. Some people really like humorous cards and this one would make a lovely stamp, so please do speak to your stampy friends. And more like that as well.

Hi Christine, Loving the fresh, summery card today. The piccies are fabulous, especially Bella and the fantastic knitted squares.
What a brilliant caricature of Elliott.
It is fantastic of your work colleagues to also fundraise for The Royal Marsden, I hope they do really well.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
