With Love...

Hello friends
Today popping in quick to show a technique card -
this card is being featured in the Q and A section
of Cardmaking and Papercrafts magazine that has just been published.
The question asked about different ways of using an embossing folder and I explained
a few techniques.  Embossing envelopes is one of my favourite things at the moment.
I have good intentions of doing this with all my Christmas card envelopes this year even
if I end up buying the cards!  It would be nice to add a crafty touch even if it is just the envelopes!
I also explained in the magazine about embossing die cuts with a pattern
and inking embossing folders.
I've used Distress Ink - Aged Mahogany - it really does have an inky distressed look -
I must have felt like emphasising the distress that day!
The M-Bossabilities  folders are: Awesome Blossoms and Enchanted.
I'm back in my London job for the next two days, it will feel nice
to be back into some normal routine.  Things are still progressing well at home,
we are back at The Royal Marsden next Tuesday but I will be back with lots more
craftiness and news (lucky number news!) before then.
Take care friends and thank you for all the lovely comments, messages and emails -
you are all amazing.

Morning Christine
Fabulous card, nice to see different techniques with folders.
Enjoy your two days of normal - well nearly, but I know how it feels to go to work just to keep you sane, it gives you something else to focus on for those hours.

Morning Christine, WOW !! I would never have thought to emboss the envelope, what a genius you are, and what a lovely touch. I love your card too, I still haven't plucked up courage to ink the embossing folder, but it does give a fabulous effect.
Have a good couple of days at your 'other job', so glad things are progressing nicely at home, you are always in my thoughts.
Lots of love and huge hugs from Patricia xx

Good morning Christine, so glad that you all enjoyed your day out in Whitstable. You'll have to try Herne Bay next time.. but then I am biased.

Loved the idea of embossing the envelope. Need to play with my embossing folders. Just trying to get my craft room sorted out.

Take care, Mary, xx

Good morning Christine, I am having a little catch around blog land this morning...you know how it is, time flies and before you know it you have been in your craft room.....well seems like forever:)
How fab for Elliot to find his very own named tea room, I bet he was well thrilled:) I am glad to here that things are progressing in the right direction too.
You have been very busy it seems creating for magazines, love the Christmas tags:)
Oh and the texture that those embossing folders give are just stunning. I am now beginning to explore them, yikes I have had them in my stash for, well lets say months and have only just found time to play.
Thank you so much for still finding the time to share your beautiful makes,
Take Care, you are and your family are always in my thoughts,
hugs Nikki x

Hi Christine. So good to hear that things are going in the right direction at home, and that you are able to get to your "other job" for a couple of days. "Normal" becomes such an important word doesn't it when life is unkind to us:) I saw your lovely card and advice in Cardmaking & Papercraft yesterday, funny how we start to recognise different crafters styles as I had a feeling it was you before I even looked to see! I will be embossing my Christmas envelopes this year, and all of my other cards too from now on. Fabulous idea, shouts out that someone cares about you that little extra bit I think (even if the card inside is shop bought:)) Take care.

Hello. I love the idea of the embossed envelope, but doesn't it leave the other side debossed which might look a bit strange. Must get the magazine and check! Have a great couple of days at work. Still thinking of you all. xxMargaretxx
