A Quick Hello

Hello friends

Just wanted to stop by and say a quick hello.
I've been very distracted this week, we travelled to hospital on Monday to collect a
special piece of equipment - a radiotherapy board.
The Royal Marsden have allowed us to borrow this so that Elliott can get used
to his mask being locked down - you see those white spots at the top,
that is where the mask clips onto.  He has done so well at home familiarising
himself with wearing the mask but now the next step is the clipping down.
Not nice but we are taking little steps and we should get there.
(Apologies - terrible photos, taken on a phone late last night!)
I've chosen to call the board Bob - Bob the Board!

This is our makeshift Bob the Board area,
cushions from the sofa on the lounge rug....
with an investigative dog....
and my boy before we put the mask on...didn't photo him wearing his mask,
we decided it was a bit too scary even with Halloween around the corner!
Sorry I haven't blogged properly for a day or two but I am planning
a special blog post very soon with some news...exciting good crafty news!
Take care friends.

Good morning Christine, Elliott and of course, Bob. Nice to meet you. I'm sure that Bob and Elliott will get along just fine once they get to know each other. So pleased that the hospital are supporting you all so well. I think your blog should be the last thing you are worrying about at the moment. We all totally understand so not a problem. Having said that, looking forward to reading the 'special' blog when you feel up to writing it.

Good morning Christine,
It is good that the hospital is providing you with the wherewithal for Elliott to conquer the board and mask. I'm sure you'll get there Elliott, just don't give up. Good to have the support from your family, even Bella!

Morning Christine

My word that piece of equipment looks quite harmless until you realise how the mask is locked into place. Think I would panic too. Hopefully Elliott will conquer the panic and be able to get on with his treatment

Sending you all big hugs

Hi Christine

No wonder you haven't had time to do the blog with what's going on at the moment. Hope that Elliot soon gets used to Bob and can start his treatment.

Hello. That's the way to do it. Make Bob a friend! Cheap to run and very little in the way of walks or entertainment needed, just the odd lie on the carpet. Every home needs one! Keep at it Elliott and you will win in the end and think of the rewards. Virtual hugs to all and positive thoughts in waves. xxMargaretxx
