Pretty Pretty - Get Well Soon Scalloped Circle

Hello friends

Did you have a nice weekend?
Mine involved working on the website, crafting and then a
trip to the cinema to see Murder on the Orient Express.
It was a real treat, Elliott is an Agatha Christie fan like me - I've taught him well!
Next cinema trip will be Paddington 2 with my Mum!
Varying film genres.

Next big thanks to those of you who purchased this month's
charity kit, there is just a few left so if you've missed out or would
like an additional one, please stop by yesterday's blog post
either here or on the Hope and Chances blog.

For those who would like to buy the Note Holder die set,
more are on their way, apologies 'Littlelamb' I know you would like a set
for your craft group.  They sold out very quickly yesterday.
As soon as they are back in stock, hopefully beginning of next week,
I will let you know.

Today's project is a 'thinking of you' card using
Get Well Soon Scalloped Circle - one of the Thoughtful Expression dies
arriving later this month designed by Marisa Job.

I found some beautiful Anna Griffin paper in my scrap box and
used the die centre to cut a circle of blooms.
The scalloped circle die cut from pale green cardstock
and I added three flowers - this is from a die set, Window of Memories.

I chose not to use the 'Get Well Soon' lettering dies and instead stamped a sentiment
to the bottom corner - Altnew stamp set.

A very pretty die especially with the dotted edge detail,
Marisa's designs are always beautiful.

Get Well Soon Scalloped Circle is available to pre-order on the website here,
as mentioned it should be here by the end of the month.
The rest of this collection can be seen here, be warned it's very very very nice!

Take care friends and wishing you all a great start to the week.

Brum and Fall Leaves

Hello friends

I had a lovely day at the NEC Birmingham yesterday.
After a bit of a false start, I missed both my trains due to problems getting
to the train station I did eventually arrive.
My train journey was scenic, a beautiful Autumnal day.

It was a real treat to be a shopper and browse around the stands and
catch up with friends.
Lovely to meet up with Anne who has been a blog follower of mine
for many years, thank you Anne for the cup of tea.
Also fun to bump into many fellow crafters,
John Lockwood, Christina Griffiths, Marion Emberson,
Hels Sheridan, Dawn Bibby and more.

I also came across these ...

I made a couple of purchases - very restrained!
I selected two stamps.
I will share those in my projects soon.

Back to today and it is an Autumnal project that was featured on the
Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L blog.
I used Fall Leaves as the main feature.
A great little die set with three shapes of leaves and also
two words, blessed and thankful.

I cut a lot and coloured them with distress inks.

Other card elements are
Kraft Photo Corners and I affixed all the leaves in place with

My distress inks are getting a lot of use right now,
really enjoying spending time and blending colours.
Fall Leaves is available on the website here, both new and pre-loved.

Please stop by tomorrow - it is the first Sunday of the month
and that means...Charity Kit Day.

Take care friends.

Friday Die Day

Hello friends

This week's Friday Die Day is Dog Club - LOVE these dies!
http://hopeandchances.co.uk/shop/die-d-lites/dog-club/
The approximate measurements are:
Tiny Dog: 1.00 x 1.10 in. 2.50 x 2.70 cm
Harry Small Dog: 1.35 x 1.11 in. 3.40 x 2.80 cm
Wide Dog: 2.45 x 1.31 in. 6.20 x 3.40 cm
Harry Dog: 2.50 x 2.01 in. 6.30 x 5.10 cm

This is how they look cut/embossed.

I chose to make a variety of items, firstly a tag.
I had some dog themed paper from a while ago - Canvas Corp,
the other paper pieces are from my scrap box.

I used the largest 'Harry' dog for the tag.

Layered up the patterned papers and added the dog die cut.
I felt it needed a mini poinsettia as a finishing touch!

My second project, a card uses the sausage dog and a variety of ivory die cuts,
(I knew there was a reason I save these).

My final project is festive and 'spot the dog'!
It wasn't until I photographed it I saw that the dog blends very
much with the Bag 'n Tag It.

I did create a darker shadow dog behind.
Great dies for dog lovers, friends or possibly treat bags for your pooch.

Dog Club is available on the website here
and because it is only fair to mention Cats - we have Kitty Cats in stock here.

Take care friends, as mentioned I'm off to Birmingham today
for the Hobbycrafts show.  Have a lovely weekend.

Textured Flowers

Hello friends

Yesterday Snowflake Snippets sold out speedily.
There will be more on their way, they are proving so popular
that we are on a little wait with the distributor company!
I will definitely let you know when they are back in stock.

Today ...it is not Christmas although now we are in November I see
the shops and TV is ramping up the festiveness.
Instead I'm introducing you to Textured Flowers.
This is a 7 piece die set designed by Marisa Job
and the embossing detail is beautiful.

I cut/embossed a selection from white watercolour card, it is fairly thick 300gsm.

Inked with distress inks.

I then spritzed the flowers with water and shaped them.
After some manipulation, I stacked and glued them,
then pierced a hole to the centre to affix stamens.
The only time I really use a glue gun.

The finished flowers, I'll be sharing the full project shortly
but couldn't wait to show you the flowers!

Textured Flowers is in stock and available on the website here.

City working day today but a day off tomorrow...
I'm heading to the Hobbycrafts show in Birmingham.
I'm purely going as a customer which will be nice, I can take my time
and have a good nose at all the new craftiness.
Are any of you going?

Take care friends.
