Tuesday Tip/Technique

Hello friends

Today is Tuesday so it must be time for a tip/technique.
Today I'm talking about recycling - start rummaging in those bins!
How about a decorated cheese box?
I've kept most of the box visible but brightened it up with Layered Poinsettias,
twine and a tag.  Perfect for a gift of jewellery.
This project used a combination of boxes - from light bulbs to face cream!
A great project for your mantelpiece.
If your boxes are a little flimsy, cover the outer panels with cardboard or
chipboard/greyboard.  This also squares up the corners really well.

So next time you take out the rubbish have another look - can I decorate it with
Spellbinders?  It's creative and environmentally friendly!

Take care friends.

  2. Hi Christine. Another great idea, I love how you decorated them. I do save nicely shaped boxes to decorate to hold gifts but hadn't thought of using "ordinary" ones as home decoration. I love it : ) I hope your time behind the scenes at C&C went well yesterday and you had a safe journey home. Take care.

  3. Good morning Christine,
Lovely boxes, I have a pile of boxes in my craft room waiting to be decorated, I'm sure that will grow after Christmas, I just can't throw a nice box away.

  8. Good morning Christine, I re use tea bag boxes a lot as they just make items that little bit stronger plus not to big to store once broken down. Keep warm in your cabin, but enjoy the views.
