Soggy!

Hello friends

It is raining...non stop and do you know why?
It's because Elliott and I are going to the Lake District this weekend!
This is a little break that was postponed from last year due to Elliott's treatment.
We are going to be very wet and soggy but hoping that will not detract from the beautiful
Lake District scenery.

And talking of scenery, this photo was taken yesterday afternoon in my parents' garden.
A double rainbow.
Elliott was impressed and taking some photos, Bella hot on his heels!

Now to something crafty...I get there eventually!
This is very Autumnal and something I made a while ago.
It features Bitty Blossoms and Fall Foliage - a lot of stencilling through the dies.
The box is Square Petal Top Box - I do love a box!

I'm continuing with organising the shop, a lot of items are now packaged away in plastic boxes -
I'm keeping the plastic box industry in business right now!

I will be back soon and dig out those wellies everyone!
Take care friends.

  1. Christine, the Lake District looks stunning in any weather. My brother is currently re-writing the very popular Guides to the Lake District originally written by Arthur Wainwright 60 odd years ago Over the time, some of the routes to the tops of mountains have changed, so my brother has spent the last two years climbing them and checking the original maps. His first book 'the Wainwright Companion' is in print, so you could look out for that one.

Have a great time - (and I love the card and box, LOL>

  6. I haven't visited the Lake District for years, but I'm told it's pretty much always (a bit) damp up there anyway. Hope there's some sunshine for you though. Love Elliott's photo showing the rainbow and the view from your parents' garden. This will be super when your log cabin is ready. Beautiful card and box.

  7. Hello Christine, 'when I was young...er' my husband and I spent many days walking in the Lake district. We were novices compared to the rest of the group we walked with and would be just catching them up after their rest as they would setting off again! We still enjoyed this beautiful area rain or shine, and believe me there were many times we were soaked through. I'm sure you and Elliott will enjoy it too. Just make sure you have clothes for all weathers. Elliott's photo of your parents garden catching the rainbows is beautiful. They have a lovely garden and you will have a great view from your craft cabin. Looking forward to seeing pictures when it is installed. Have a lovely time. Gemma xx

I'm sure you'll have a fab time away in the Lake District, whatever the weather. We're off to Oxford for the weekend as it's our anniversary so we're hoping for dry weather too!

  14. Hi Christine
I think you will also need to bring your warm clothes too. The weather here in the North West has turned decidedly wintry although it has been dry for part of the day today. On a positive note the Lakes wouldn't be so beautiful if it wasn't for the rain!!
Love the box today - bitty blossoms is such a beautiful die.
