Hello friends
Yesterday marked the final shop opening day, a tad emotional at times!
Lots of visitors so thank you to all that came along.
It was a bit of a squeeze in the shop ...
Huge thanks to Mum, Sally and Elliott who helped out - couldn't have done it without you.
I'm not vacating the shop immediately, lots of sorting and packing going on and,
of course the website is a permanent fixture.
I will be keeping you up to date with progress and news.
No Charity Kit this month as time is truly against me but still some previous Charity Kits
available to purchase so please take a look here.
I will be announcing the winner of September's kit soon and
November will bring a new Charity Kit...I suspect festive!
And talking of festive it must be days since I featured something Christmassy!
How about a festive felt gift bag, created with the free papers in
Make Christmas Cards magazine and I've used Layered Poinsettia and
Create A Flake Five. The felt is a strip adhered at the edges with Fabri-Tac.
The handle is secured at the back and opens at the front with a velcro dot.
These would work nicely as table favours too, pop in a few treats.
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and not too soggy - the rain arrived
here yesterday afternoon and didn't want to let up, Bella's depressed!
Take care friends - back soon.
Such a lovely creation-

Good morning Christine
ReplyDeleteA sad day yesterday but so pleased to see the shop was busy. On a positive note you have a lot to look forward too. I am so pleased your web shop is continuing. You always provide a fabulous service. I love receiving my parcels from you.
The gift bag is a lovely idea and could be used at anytime during the year by altering the die cuts and papers used.
Cheer up Bella. We had a horrible morning here in Manchester yesterday but today the sun is shining so hopefully it is heading your way and you may get a dry walk today.
Enjoy your day
Lesley
Hi Christine, it looks like you had a very busy day yesterday, I hope hope you are taking your Chandelier with you. Poor Bella, we went to the Norwich match yesterday and got soaked on the way home, but the sun is shining here this morning. I like your bag and the idea of using Pink instead of the usual festive colours. Enjoy you Sunday.

Hello Christine
ReplyDeleteSad day for you yesterday...... but when one door closes another opens! lol
The rain lasted for about 12 hours here, but now the Sun is shining again. We have had a long hot summer, so its a shock when the weather changes, but it is Autumn another colourful month before the cold stuff.
Take care
Love Marg
Aww poor Bella, my Lance used to sulk when it rained as he did not like to get wet , then after his walk and a drying off he would turn his back on me and sulk some more.
ReplyDeleteA lovely bag and papers used so pretty.
It is a sad time for you Christine ,however once your shop is empty you must not look back.
Forward is the way and a new Chapter begins, with all your loving family behind you it will be good .
Oh i nearly forgot ,and your extended Blog Family too { of course it will all be good }
Take Care

ReplyDeleteAfternoon Christine, What a sad occasion it must have been for you all !! Lovely piccies and a fabulous project.
ReplyDeleteWe had the rain yesterday morning but it cleared up in the afternoon, this morning was really cold, so we lit the fire, lovely and cosy now.
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Yes, I agree that yesterday was a bit on the sad side of the street, but what glorious memories you must have! And, you had your own craft store... many of us just dream of that. Would have liked to visit your store.. it is a bit out of the way of where I live in the States. Would have loved one of your bird cages.... Best of luck in your new venture!
ReplyDeletehi Christine
ReplyDeleteIt must have been difficult but it is good that you had support. The lille bag is very cute. I am in sympathy with Bella as we have a horrible morning wet/windy and grey - lets hope it doesn't last!
take care
