Hello friends
Time for Tuesday Tip/Technique and today we are seeing what else we can die cut.
How about shrink plastic??
For those of you that haven't used shrink plastic I can guarantee it takes you back to being a kid, I used to shrink crisp packets in the oven...do any of you remember doing that?
I've stamped onto the shrink plastic using a script stamp and StazOn ink.
Use a heat gun (mind your fingers!) apply heat to the shape, it takes on a life of its own,
curls, twists and just at the point when you think..."oh this hasn't worked!" ....
It flattens.
You then have a tiny hard plastic shape which you can use as an embellishment on cards,
scrapbook pages, jewellery and more.
Tip: if you want a hole in your plastic shape, punch one before you shrink!
Thanks for stopping by today and thank you so much for your response
to the Charity Kit announced yesterday, delighted you like it.
Take care friends.
Hi Christine. I must get my shrink plastic out and have a go at this, the tiny shapes are so pretty. Take care.

ReplyDeleteMorning Christine, i did buy some shrink plastic but haven't had the confidence to use it. I really should as you have showed how great it can be, so thank you for that. I love all these tips you are doing on a tuesday. Emma x
ReplyDeleteBrilliant tip Christine - will have to get the shrink plastic out and have a go again. Janice xx
ReplyDeleteMorning Christine, A fabulous tip, I love the shrink plastic, and am always amazed when I use it, it is brilliant, I am always aware that when stamping something and colouring it, that the colours always intensify when shrunk, so tend to do paler colours when colouring. The experience when the item curls and twists and has a mind of it's own, and then unfurls and turns into this mini masterpiece, fabulous !!
ReplyDeleteLots of love from Patricia xx
Forgot all about shrink plastic thanks for the reminder. Also I have got hold the Snupps app, just need a little time to get myself organised!!
ReplyDeleteChristine, I have some of the shrink plastic somewhere! But putting my hand on it might be difficult AND I've never used it.
ReplyDeleteI've quite forgotten about my shrink plastic Christine (like a lot of crafty stash I have!😃) so must get it out and give it a go!
ReplyDeleteThank you for the reminder 👍
