Hello friends
Some time back I mentioned that Make A Wish Charity visited Elliott
and they granted his wish to visit Cologne, Germany for a computer gaming convention!
The time has come for us to go!
We are flying out tomorrow and returning next week so blog posts may be a little
erratic but please continue to stop by as I hope to post from Germany.

I'm not quite sure what to do with myself while the boys are in seventh
heaven with a ton of computers and games but I've heard some wonderful things about
the City of Cologne so I may be trekking off for a little tour and hopefully shopping.
Elliott is beyond excited about this trip and I am in awe of how amazing
Make A Wish have been to us, we have a huge pack of papers and mystery
envelopes to hand to people - one of the first being the flight crew...!
Before we go I wanted to share a scrapbook page with you,
I've got a few pages featured in this month's Scrapbook Magazine using their
free papers. This one features Elliott when he was a little younger.
A 'tile effect' page and this style works well when the papers are bright and busy
(or when you are running out of papers and using scraps!)
Don't forget you can apply the same design to cards too.
Normal crafting service will resume shortly....

ReplyDeleteHow lovely for you and the boys! I'm sure they will be on cloud nine! There's plenty to do in Cologne, have no fear. We weren't there in December for five days to visit the Christmas markets, it was wonderful.
Lots of lovely shops to look around, the cathedral is fabulous, and of course you could always take a riverboat trip on the Rhine, and cross the river by cable car!

ReplyDeleteFantastic news - my boys are green with envy. I'm sure Mitchel and Elliot will have such a brilliant time and it is something that Elliot deserves after the treatment he has gone through. I am sure also that you will find plenty to occupy yourself - I bet you could even find a craft shop or too!!
Love the page featuring Elliot - a great way of using up scraps - in fact a real "scrap" page.

Hope you all have a super time! All I can remember about Cologne is the Gothic Cathedral and a large square. I was only a teenager at the time though and not into shopping. It's probably a little early for the Christmas Markets. Love the layout and what a great way to use up bits and pieces.

ReplyDeleteHope you have a great time in Cologne. Have been twice while on a train holiday, it's a lovely city.Elliot must be over the moon and must be way beyond excited. Make a wish is a fantastic charity aren't they. They also have something similar for older people to. My stepson had a holiday paid for by a charity to take his family to. Centre Parcs. They were originally planning a week just for him and his partner. He said that he didn't want to go away and leave the children behind, they said no problem we can change it to a family holiday. They had a fabulous time.
Look forward to seeing some pics when you come back.
