Life is Better With Friends

Hello friends
Life is indeed better with friends!
I created this card for a special friend of mine, it was her birthday yesterday.
We met at infants school and still live close to each other and keep in touch.
It is always nice to have a friend that you can reminisce with!
It features Opulent Ovals and Bitty Blossoms.
Just by positioning patterned paper you can create different effects.
This Sunday is a Grand Dies and Nestaboard class - we are making
books/journals decorating them using a 12 x 12 My Mind's Eye paper pad and craft foils.
Here I've used Opulent Ovals cut from gold foil.
There is a couple of places available if you feel like a crafty Sunday - just drop me an email.
Couldn't resist adding a little metal rose charm too.
Also, due to a cancellation a place has become available for the Butterfly Frame
class on Saturday 6 April (also running this class on Sunday 5 May).
That's enough class news - not fair to those of you who live miles away!

Despite the snow yesterday the sun did shine, we had a lot of muddy slush by teatime.
It just felt so odd to see all these snow drifts covering up plants desperate to flower for Spring.
I hope you are all keeping warm.
Take care friends.

  13. Morning Christine, Loving all the piccies of your cards, especially the Special Friend card, the way you placed the rose in the die-cut looks gorgeous, and what a difference for a label die-cut to be pattern paper, looks so different, gorgeous.
I really wish I could attend your class on the second card, I love it, but unfortunately too far away.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  15. Morning Christine,
A beautiful card for your friend, what a great way to use patterned paper. I have some with big patterns which I have failed to use I will look at them in a different light.
Much better day today, the wind has dropped and we even have sunshine, hope it lasts.

  18. This is a truly lovely card - it oozes "classy". What a lucky friend to receive it.
And the class project is just beautiful, too. A little bit more opulent because of the gold.
    Have a great day, Christine.

  20. Hi Christine, yes, it's such a shame that we have had snow again. There's nothing better that I like but to take Rolo out for a walk and see all the spring flowers popping up. There is a house quite close to where I live that I watch and monitor the seasons. I've seen the snowdrops and the crocus coming through in the last couple of weeks and it cheers me up when I think that the weather is getting better and looking forward to the summer. Some say its wishing your life away when you cant wait for the next season to arrive but I only long for a bit of warmth when I take Rolo out, I'm fed up of wearing upteem layers!!! On the plus side though, when it is cold outside, then there's nothing better than curling up in the craft room!!!. xx Janice

Yes, those of us that are unable to 'pop' round and join your workshops do get a little upset, but please, dont stop telling us about them, we enjoy the sneek peeks. Perhaps you could do a couple of blog /utube project tutorials - when you have a spare minute??
    Crafty best wishes, Carolyn x
