Its Been Ages!! And Did You Know??

Hello friends
It has been ages....... since I had a giveaway!
I must remedy this situation today!
I've been stocking up my Amazon Shop with lots of new goodies and I decided to put something
rather nice to one side for one of my lucky blog followers.....
Die D-Lites - Fantastic Flourish One
A lovely burst of flowers to cut/emboss and stencil, perfect for
cardmaking, scrapbooking - as a feature or part of your background.
Don't forget with these intricate dies it is always beneficial to use some waxed paper

All you need to do is make sure you are a follower and leave me a comment -
how about anything to do with your Sunday - what is your ideal Sunday?
Perhaps a roast, a walk in the park, a trip to Church, reading the Sunday supplements,
crafting, bingo, visiting family - what makes your Sundays special?
I will explain to Bella that she needs to pick out a winner, I will announce the lucky name on Thursday.

I also have something else and a little different to share with you today.
Did you know....November is National VELCRO® Month!
Okay..I admit neither did I, that is until the company got in touch with me.
I think we all remember the super useful VELCRO hook and loop closure but goodness me things have changed and are bang up to date.  I have received a nice box of goodies and the aim is to find 101 uses for VELCRO around the home, garden, workplace and more.
I'm not sure I can manage 101 uses all on my own but I'm going to have a good stab at it -
starting of course with craft!
Watch this space....
Have a wonderful Sunday, keep warm and dry!

  3. My perfect sunday would be a nice full english breakfast, wait for the family to arrive while sorting out the veg for a nice roast dinner, after lunch we would go for a walk along the river with the grandkids and the doggie, back home for tea and wave goodbye to the family. Oh my, that is what happens every week so I must have the perfect sunday every week.

  4. A lie in would be nice but my little 4 legged friend called Barney always has other ideas. Crafting, gardening, walking Barney, all of these with good food and friends are for me the perfect day. Hugs Linda, from South Shields, temporarily residing in Birmingham having been to the Craft show at the NEC.

  9. My ideal Sunday is to get up about 8.00 a.m., have a nice cup of coffee watching Creat & Craft. Perhaps go shopping, then after lunch, spend the afternoon in my craft room! That's the best part.

  10. Hi Christine. Sunnday for me is:- get up as usual, feed the 5 cats, take the dog for a walk and go to Zumba. Come home, have a shower and get dressed into something nice and go out for Sunday Lunch with my daughter and fiance. Having a roast dinner is a little bit of British tradition I like to keep. After that my ideal is to get into the craft room but usually the sun tempts me out side for a couple of drinks around the pool. Heaven!

  12. Morning Christine, Good luck with your 101 things to do with Velcro, I didn't know they made so many different sorts of velcro, even, as your piccie shows.
I always go to Church on Sunday morning, so that is half of the day gone, and I always feel so much better when I have been (must be in the mind ha ha). Then we have lunch and normally do things around the house (catch-up). My ideal Sunday (and we do it periodically, when I play truant from Church ha ha), is a drive to St Annes on the Fylde Coast, we park the car there, then we walk the hour's walk into Lytham, have fish and chips at the Rick Stein/Gordon Ramsay recommended fish restaurant, then walk all the way back to St Annes, that is my 'heaven' Sunday, and the sea air does us the world of good, absolute 'heaven'.
I hope you have a lovely Sunday.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  13. Morning Christine,

Wow Velcro month, i for one am all for Velcro as i use it everyday at school - but probably not in the ways it was intended. So if you need an idea - i use it for making sentence strips and communication cards.
Now for my perfect Sunday, todays weather would be the perfect start crisp and cold, a brisk walk with my dog, then a mug of hot chocolate and a few hours spent in the craft room trying to create to finish off a lovely roast.
Hope you all enjoy your Sunday however you spend it.

  14. Morning Christine

    What a fabulous give away

My ideal Sunday would be to go out for Sunday lunch somewhere really hot!!! but a close second is the family coming round for the roast dinner and the heating on lol

I love velcro, I use it to hang my pelmets, makes them easier to put up and for loose covers on the sofa too
I use the sticky velcro for gift bags as a closure

Hope you have a fabulous Sunday and dont drop the velcro on Bella cos it will hurt to get it off her!!!!

  15. Hi Christine ,
Every Sunday Morning my treat is a Staffordshire Oatcake with 1 rasher of bacon, tomatoes and mushrooms being on a diet i look forward to this all week [ no kidding but my total weight loss is 52.05lbs so i cant grumble ]

I then have a trip around the old lap top catching up and seeing what all my lovely ladies like you ,have got to show me on the crafting front , so that i can admire and copy [especially tags i just love a good tag to craft i do , and christmas is just the best time as i can do so many of them ] so crafting it is all afternoon.

We have our main meal in the evening so i usually make a Curry ,then its time for some T.V , but if its not to my liking out come the crafty bits again .

I once made some handbag Birthday Cards for a Charity Christmas Fair ,and i searched everywhere for velco circles for the closure of them but to no avail ,
I just bet you have some in your box ,haha as you always find the thing your looking for after the event .

    Have a great day Christine

  27. My Sundays are normally taken up by doing the washing and cooking a roast dinner (I love a good roast). Trouble is it means that the weekend is over and it's back to work on Monday! Also it's time to sit down and do some crafting and watch create and craft on the TV.
Today I have also opened my birthday cards (should be tomorrow) and put them up so that I can appreciate them a bit longer (naughty I know)!
Good luck with the 101 ways to use velcro! Although it might produce some interesting card designs! My mind is racing with ideas already!

  28. My ideal Sunday is the necessary chores which make me feel as if I have done what I should do and then crafting with a clear conscience for the rest of the day. There are always birthday/christmas cards which need to be urgently made. Tea time is a chicken casserole which is my husband's favourite meal of the week and then relaxing with my husband and our westie and I do some cross stitching whilst watching favourite TV programmes. It would be nice to hear what your idea of a perfect Sunday is too.

  29. Hi Christine, It was a very crisp frosty morning here, now the sun is shinning.Makes dog walking extra special, we always enjoy going the extra mile on a Sunday morning.
Also, every first and third Sunday we attend our little village Chapel for a 3pm Service,on the alternate Sundays we enjoy going out with the family or having Sunday lunch with them. Thats what we are doing today, going out to lunch with my youngest son and family in a short while.
Hope you enjoy your Sunday today and good luck with 101 ways with Velcro challenge ( if I'm allowed to give a tip to start you off - here it is) Staging Christmas cards can be tricky when your short on space,a length of ribbon to hang down attach self adhesive velcro to the back of your cards and the other corresponding piece the ribbon. Or, if you hang the ribbon across a mirror or window, cut pieces of ribbon 5 - 8cms attach velcro to each end and hang baubles or any other decorations. I've done this many times, the latter version is reusable and looks very decorative.

  39. Sunday...today is a beautiful fall day. We are just hanging out, puttering around, working on our "to do"lists. Saturdays are always so busy with the kids, I enjoy the down time I get on "the day of rest".

I love velcro dots and they have their own drawer in my craft room! Good luck with finding 101 uses - I will definitely be interested in what you come up with!

Thanks for the chance to win the die. I just got (2) other D-Lites in the mail yesterday and am heading down to the craft room to play with them!

  41. Hi Christine, I have actually had a perfect Sunday today - spending time with family and crafting. I did some crafting first thing then went out with my husband, son, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, brother and sister-in-law, neice her husband and their little boy. Had a Sunday carvery. Went christmas shopping this afternoon with my daughter-in-law and then we went for coffee and cake. Then home and more crafting.

  43. Hello Christine, what a lovely giveaway.
My ideal Sunday would be being a bit on the lazy side, having a slow start to the day, a lovely breakfast and then being able to see all my grandchildren without having to drive miles and miles. It's so difficult trying to get them altogether at the same time because we all lead such busy lives don't we? Throw in a little craft time somewhere in the day and it would be just perfect.

  47. Most Sundays are relaxing... start the day by getting our favourite coffee from Starbucks and then taking Molly (our dog) for her walk to her favourite park along the water w/beautiful view of the North Shore Mtns and downtown Vancouver (we're in Vancouver Canada). When we get home we simply decide what kind of a day it will be... i like my Sundays! Thank you for the chance to win your great giveaway... some great new D-Lites out there! :)
