Bye Bye Gremlin! Heart and more...

Hello friends
I think he's gone...the Gremlin!  He has left behind a few little problems in that I have to use two
different search engines now but at least I feel I can blog properly!
Wonderful to read all the comments yesterday, an insight into how Sundays are spent up and down the country and abroad.
It's the beginning of the week - what do you have in store?
I've consulted my diary and list(s) and I've got a busy week ahead but with some pleasant things too.
On Tuesday I'm off to Barleylands Craft Village in Essex.
I was there to take my photography class a while back and made friends with a lovely lady
so we've organised to meet for lunch.
While at Barleylands I will be calling in to see another lovely lady...Marion Emberson
(no relation!) she owns Sugar and Spice Crafts.

Today's crafty offering is a Christmas heart.
I purchased a galvanised heart and used alcohol inks to colour it (and my fingers, desk, coffee cup!)

Cut/embossed plenty of layers of Layered Poinsettia from some patterned paper,
(yes, hard to believe it was patterned!)
assembled and then liberally sprayed with shimmer mists
(again, over my hands, desk etc!)  It was a messy but fun project!
I stamped Labels Twenty-Two for the little tag, inked the edges and added a red pearl.
Lace bow and ribbon completes my festive heart.
Talking of festive...have you written your Christmas list yet?
In case you are a little undecided it might be a good idea to mention these.....
Available in £5, £10 and £20.  Redeemable against classes, kits, products and Amazon shop.
Just a thought.... email christine.emberson@blueyonder.co.uk for purchasing details.

Before I go - I must send congratulations to Anne on the birth of her fourth grandchild - a girl!
Happy Monday dear friends - pets tomorrow!

  2. Morning Christine

What a lovely project. I don't have any of the alcohol inks and have never used them, doesn't mean I don't get messy though! I was using the festive berries ink pad and had red fingers for days, I have since bought a scrubbie to get my hands clean...

You have a busy week, today I am doing the dreaded housework, not lucky enough to have a cleaner, Tuesday I go to a craft group, it's my turn to do the project this week, took me ages to prepare 22 lots as there was a lot of embossing and die cutting involved. Got a couple of meetings with friends for lunch in the week and a couple of evenings out then its Fri-die again lol...xxxxx

Great you have got rid of the Gremlins - where do they come from?
I am crafting with my friend tonight - we are finishing some wedding invitations.

  8. Hi Christine. Love this heart and the poinsettia just keeps reappearing and looking deliously different every time.

I usually have busy weeks but I'm a bit hampered at the moment as I've torn the tendons in both arms and apart from it being v painful I've been told to just sit and do nothing for a month. Sooo difficult to do!

  10. Hi Christine
What a lovely project you've made, and so different!

Funnily enough I popped over to Barleylands yesterday with a friend for their Christmas weekend. It's a five minute drive from my house and is a lovely place to visit whatever time of year. Marion wasn't in her shop as she was at the NEC but it was busy there without her!

Hope you have a lovely time there with your friend.

I hope you have a good time at Barleylands and also when you see Marion, I loved seeing her when she was on tv, a really lovely lady.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

love the heart, it is absolutely fantanstic, are you going to put this on your xmas tree? pleased you have managed to banish the gremlins - nothing more frustrating than a computer that doesn't behave!

busy week for me at work, but hoping to do something nice on Friday (day off)as it is my birthday.

Great timing for the gift certificates, i have passed the details onto my son, in the hope he gets the hint - you never know i may get a 'surprise' for my birthday.

hope you enjoy your busy week.
