Advent Frame - Christmas 2012!

Hello friends,
This coffee/tea cup means bit of a long blog post so you may need to grab a cuppa!
Here it is...at last!
The new Advent Frame for this Christmas.
I've still gone with traditional red, green with a slightly vintage look.
I thought this would then work for girls/boys, ladies/gentlemen.
The patterned papers are Simple Stories - Handmade Holidays and the
cardstock is ivory - linen finish 255gsm. It makes sturdy little boxes and folds beautifully.
The numbering is a little more bold this year and my own design.
To make your own Advent Frame there is a kit available.
This year, everything is cut/embossed all just ready to be assembled.
 The kit contents are:
Wooden Advent Frame
25 cut/embossed box lids and bases
25 small decorative patterned labels
Ready-made numbers 1-25
3D Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L
Full instruction sheet.

All you need to add is adhesive to make up your boxes.
The price including postage and packaging is
£35.

Please click to pay via PayPal or, if you prefer,
just email me to place an order - christine.emberson@blueyonder.co.uk

I really enjoyed putting this year's Advent Frame together (far more than tackling that blackberry bush!)
Already the boys are requesting what treats should go inside, I'm thinking foiled wrapped gold coins,
little chocolate Santas etc.  Bit of a chocolate theme I think!

Val asked a question yesterday regarding my tags and how I use them.
I do occasionally use them as a decorative element to cards but more often I use
them for parcels, to tie round the neck of bottles as gifts, attach to bars of chocolate,
it makes the smallest gift a special treat.

I hope you had a lovely weekend, the rain stayed away here and the roast pork was yum!
Take care friends.

  1. Hi Christine, I have made six of these advent frames but am having difficulty with the numbers, how are your ones done? They are so easy to do and I have bought some small toys to vary what each box holds, once I have mastered the numbers I will sent you a photo.

Glad you had a better day yesterday, but at least the blackberry bush will benefit from it's 'short back and sides' ha ha, glad your roast pork was yum.

  17. Hi Christine, The Advent is beautiful, so wish I could get my hands on that box die - going up to the NEC next month, will save my pennies in the hope that I can get it. Unless I spy it in your shop first.
Gald you enjoyed your roast pork.
Should get the oppertunity to do a little crafting today - weather being a very good excuse, esp. here.

  24. I love this frame Christine, and the boxes are just the right size for a small treat. I saw an advent kit almost the same, if not identical to this at the craft show in Cardiff on Sunday and at first I thought you were making an appearance! Hopes were dashed though as it wasn't you there, maybe next Spring (May 25th and 26th if you're interested)? x
