Anniversary and Hochanda!

Hello friends

How was your weekend?
I had a wonderful time with my friends at the Craft Box workshop
in St Ives Cambridge. It is a beautiful little town and even the sun was shining.




And here is what I made...
a Spring canvas.
It took all day because it has 85 layers...possibly an exaggeration!


I've learned lots of techniques and I think it would be nice to attempt
this with die cuts as opposed to fussy cutting at some point.

So from mixed media to clean and simple!
Last week I sat down and made some special invitations.
On this day next month my parents will be celebrating their 
Diamond Wedding Anniversary.


I've used one of the new Vintage Treasure dies by Becca Feeken -


  Inside the card I printed the invitation, 
cut with 5 x 7 Matting Basics and affixed.


When you flip the card over there is a pocket for the stamped addressed
envelope for the RSVP.


Really easy to do by interlocking two card bases.
I'm hopefully going to be showing this as a demo on Hochanda 
this evening or tomorrow.  My shows are 5pm, 8pm
and tomorrow 9am, 1pm and 5pm.

    A really beautiful card Christine. I can’t imagine being married for 60 years, what an amazing achievement. I love the multi media canvas too, very pretty. I’ll be setting the TV recorder for later today. Xx

    My weekend was sunny and windy. Managed to complete a mother's day present and card for my mum and spend a little time in the garden. Gorgeous creation Christine, it looks well worth the time and effort put into it. I will look forward to you doing a die-cut version. Gorgeous invitation and congratulation to your parents.     Hi Christine, So glad to see you back on Hochanda, and a great show.
    I am in awe at your canvas, it is stunning !! I would love to go on a workshop like this one, I have always shied away from this form of crafting. Your piccies are lovely, as is your Invitation for your Mum and Dad Anniversary, really gorgeous !!

    Really enjoying your shows on Hochanda your demo's and samples are just devine I have ordered

    some of the dies just now they are gorgeous.

    Your Invitations for your Mum& Dad's 60th are lovely the die you have chosen is very apt

    60 years that is such a wonderful achievement Bless them both.
