Hello friends
It's the weekend and I'm looking forward to more crafting.
I hope you all got through Friday 13th unscathed.
I got stuck in the lift at work but that was on Thursday so my unlucky moment
was a day early!
Thankfully craft is safer and today's project features the Floral Gatefold
die that I shared a day or so ago.
This time I chose to chop the design in half and place as corner decorations
on my card front.
Originally cut from white card I used pastel paints to colour.
I'm no painter but it turned out pretty well.
(Apologies to professional painters out there!)
You can also probably spot the silver mirror card behind,
it does give it that nice edge.
The stamp sentiment is from Creative Expressions -
Petite Lavish Sentiments.
If you fancy quartering a Gatefold this die set is available on the
website here and still at a reduced price.
Tomorrow I'm going to do another Facebook Live,
Mitchell is on hand again with his nifty camera work and this time
Bella should be joining me.
Be lovely if you could tune in at 4pm tomorrow, over on my Facebook
Spellbinders Ambassador page here
or just click on the image above.
Also there is going to be a live giveaway!
We could be filming from the cabin or my home, we are testing out
the best internet sources...apparently - all very techy!
Take care friends, fingers crossed the sun comes out for us this weekend.
Morning All.
ReplyDeleteThank you a lovely card, I remember it from your show.
Well this is a spring cleaning weekend for me.
The skip is comming at 8am.
Take care and have a fun weekend, Kitty.
Beautiful card and die Christine. I loved the demo you did on Hochanda. Good luck with the live stream on Sunday. I'm sorting out my parent's wedding anniversary card and gift this weekend. I'm hoping for some sunshine and warmth too x xhazel

Hi Christine
ReplyDeleteLovely card, I like the Silver back drop, it really gives it some definition. Good Luck for tomorrow, I'll be watching, probably with a glass of wine again. Hope you weren't trapped in the lift for too long, that's most people's worst nightmare.
Have a nice day and let's hope the sun shines this weekend.
Chris xx
Morning Christine,
ReplyDeleteWish I had a techy person at home, I'm useless.
Lovely your card.

Good morning Christine nice idea to cut the die cut in this way and makes a lovely frame. Actually got some sun today so hopefully it will dry the lawn a bit so I can perhaps cut tomorrow. Enjoy your weekend, sorry I won't be joining you on Sunday. Best wishes Jackie x

What a great idea to use this die in this way. Very clever Christine. The touch of silver peeking through is lovely as well.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to join you on Sunday if I can figure out the time difference. haha
Hi Christine, What a brilliant idea, and the effect is gorgeous, made even more so with the mirri dropped shadow, a beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteI shuddered when I read that you got stuck in the lift, that would have been my 'absolute' nightmare !!
Lots of love from Patricia xx
Hello Christine, what a clever idea to use this die across the corners, the silver really makes the die cut stand out. Love it.
