Saturday Die Day!

Hello friends

It's all been a bit different this week, I'm now bringing you
Saturday Die Day!
Hoping all will be back to normal next week.
This week it is Friends and Family Frames.
A 9 piece die set designed by Marisa Job.

The approximate measurements are:

Small Heart: 0.85 x 0.75 in. 2.20 x 1.90 cm
Solid Rectangle 2.10 x 0.50 in. 5.30 x 1.30 cm
Rectangle Frame: 2.30 x 0.75 in. 5.80 x 1.90 cm
Large Heart: 1.70 x 1.55 in. 4.30 x 3.90 cm
Love: 1.90 x 0.75 in. 4.80 x 1.90 cm
Family, Friends, Forever (3): 2.30 x 0.75 in. 5.80 x 1.90 cm
Frame: 4.90 x 5.80 in. 12.50 x 14.70 cm

This is how they look cut/embossed.
Lots of pieces!

When I first looked at this die set I thought of scrapbooking but then realised
it works really well as a card front design.
I've used a photo but you could use various patterned papers and embellishments.

I positioned the frame over the photograph and die cut.
(Elliott looks so young!)

I then selected patterned paper (Craftwork Cards - Correspondence)
'Forever' and hearts (dies included in this set) for the additional windows.

Mounted the frame onto my card front, a little bit of distress ink
to the edges.

Beginning to add the panels and embellishments.

I couldn't resist flowers even though I've used a photo of Elliott,
he quite likes flowers!
These are Textured Flowers, beautiful embossing detail on these.
Inked and spritzed with water.

Shaped and very pink!

The finished card.

Dies used : Friends and Family Frames (available new and pre-loved)
Textured Flowers

Available on the website.

Heading out to do some shopping this morning and I'm pretty certain
more cat treats will fall into the basket.
Darcy cat is doing well, lapping up the fuss - we have a very jealous Bella!

Take care friends, enjoy your weekend.

  2. Hi Christine
That’s a great card and I love that photo of Elliott. I may actually get a chance to craft today, which I haven’t had much time to do lately. Enjoy your shopping and get yourself a nice treat too (wine & chocalate maybe) 🍷🍫🙂
