Labels and Daisies by Carole

Hello everyone

Today featuring Angel Carole with her wonderful idea using
Labels Thirty Nine and Create A Gerber Daisy.

Carole has chosen to create a stunning piece!
A decorated upcycled bottle/vase with wired Gerber Daisies.

The colours are perfect for Autumn.

Printing a message and layering the labels.

Carole is also sharing with us her thoughts on making her projects.

I was attracted to die cutting because it’s quick and easy.
This Create a Gerber Daisy die is anything but! Gah! That said,
sometimes it’s good for the soul to have a bit of a faff and a fiddle.
By the time I’d made four flowers, I’d got it down to a fine art
and my fingers felt less like ten sausages.
I have to say that I think the result you can achieve with this die is
well worth the little extra effort. I can think of lots of things I want to do with it now.
If you wanted it to be a bit quicker you could just make one
round of petals for each layer, whereas I made two rounds.

I still managed to stick to my self-imposed rule of not buying anything
for my projects – I have to use all I’ve got around me.
So the ‘vase’ is a small mineral water bottle and the wire some
I had in the garage from my wire sculpture phase.
After I’d finished I found some rusty florists’ wire which
probably would have looked better than the shiny stuff.

To tidy the back up, I used an extra centre and that held my wire on too.

Hope you like it!

Happy crafting! C : ) xx

  10. Hi Elliott and Carole
Wow, what beautiful flowers and I love the colours you chose, Carole. I can't believe that you had the patience and dexterity to stick all those individual petals together to make such a wonderful flower, I'm not too sure that I would have the patience and I can see flying petals in the craft-room if I gave it a try lol. The end result was well worth the effort though and I hope you are proud of your creation.
