Other news: Utility Girl asked about Scrapbook Magazine and whether it
was going to be published quarterly. I'm sad to announce that Scrapbook Magazine
has now closed. As we probably all know scrapbooking is not as popular here in the UK,
I am going to miss creating pages for the magazine but I'm determined not to
give up scrapbooking - it is where my crafting journey began and I love it.
As a fond farewell I'm sharing one of my very first pages I made for the magazine.
A Christmassy layout - Cute as a Button - that's my mum in the photo!
It features Labels Eighteen and Spiral Blossoms One.

HI Christine..congrats to the winners! Your page is lovely...it is a same that scrapbooking is not as popular here, but having said that I subscribe to a US paper craft magazine and even their sister scrapbook mag closed and merged with the paper craft a few years ago. I love scrapbooking, but do you know..when we had to go and get films processed, I did it all the time and now it's all there on the computer, I still have our 2013 holiday to scrapbook! ReplyDeleteShame the company has closed down , but we must still keep scrapping IT IS OUR HERITAGE !! we need to do it for our younger members of our family to look back on and see how their Ancestors looked and how things have changed over the years { sorry if i go on but i am very passionate about my Heritage } I came across Photo's of Relatives belonging to my Mum after she died and i had not got a clue who they were ,it took a while going round to aunts and uncles to identify them and hear the story behind the Photo , one being of her brother who got killed in the war ,so sad that Mum and i never got to look at them together .

OMG! I can't believe I have won! Thank you, it's helped brighten up what has been a sad week for me and my family.
ReplyDeleteYour scrapbook page is lovely. I don't do "scrapping" very often and keep promising myself that I will do more. At the moment I keep a 4x6" journal in scrapbook form using Serif of events/holidays throughout the year (I think I'm at the end of 2013!)
