Throughout this year there will be Friday Die Days to introduce
you to different Spellbinders dies and show a few techniques/ideas.
Today's FDD is Sparkle.
This is a Shapeabilities die and consists of two die templates, an inset and border
measuring: Inset: 5½ x 2” and Border: 5⅝ x 2⅛”
This is how it looks cut/embossed.

I've used the border die to create a backing of white - not so easy to see against
a white background!
It's a kraft gift bag this week. I adhered the die cuts vertically down the middle.
I then added a happy birthday from Sentiments 3.
Always good to wait a while for the glue to dry before taking photos - doh!
A gemstone and a snowflake charm for finishing touches.
As it is such a beautiful die it did not need a great deal more.
(The lighting changed in the cabin hence the colouring of the die cuts now look blueish).
Some close up pics.
This is an intricate die and it is definitely advisable to use Quick Release Paper
(I've just discovered Ultimate Crafts and it is brilliant, details are here).
Remember it may be necessary to move the die around your plate and run
it through your Grand Calibur more than once to achieve the perfect cut.
Also you could just use the inset die to create an embedded pattern,
I like this idea for envelopes.
Sparkle is available on the website here.
Take care friends, I'm back tomorrow.
