Winners on a Wednesday!

Hello friends

Firstly let me announce the two winners of Make Christmas Cards magazine.

Diane (Keep For Ever Cards) and
Crafty Chris (Chris's Ramblings)

Congratulations!
If you could drop me an email - hope-chances@live.co.uk
including your postal address please and your magazines will wing their way to you.

One of the projects I made with the retailers at the CHA UK event last Sunday
was a chocolate wrapper - not any ol' chocolate - it was Hershey chocolate
kindly brought over by Spellbinders.
We thought it would be good to have an American touch.
There were three projects in total and each one had to be completed in 30 minutes,
so I had to come up with something that was pretty simple but effective.
This wrapper uses Holiday Greetings, a useful and different die in that you use
the negative/silhouette, the fall out pieces are lovely too.
The snowflake 'tag' and the little pieces inserted at the edges of the wrapper
are Snowflake Bliss - I'm just a little bit in love with this snowflake set,
it is so beautiful and traditional.
Both die sets are available in the website shop, just click on the links.
A few more Christmas bargains been added too.

Yesterday's Bella walk was across the fields and the birds were swooping and flying
like mad things!  Look at that glorious blue sky, so nice after all the recent rain.
Take care friends and keep all your pets safe tonight,
fireworks have been going off all week where I live, Bella is super-glued to my lap!

  3. Good morning Christine,
Oh that chocolate wrapper makes the contents look even more yummy, how did you resist? Although Hershey's us no match for Chocolate Buttons, gosh I am now craving chocolate at 7.30 am!
Wow not long to prepare for Phoenix, how long gave you known? Will the boys survive? I bet Grandma gets a lot more visits! Haha
On a serious note, what a fantastic opportunity for you, make the most of it, bring us back lots of inspiration, not too much shopping though, otherwise there will be no room for you in that cabin!
Try not to stress too much,
    Hugs

  8. Morning Christine
Love your chocolate wrapper! Not a lover of Hershey's chocolate but it would look equally good around a bar of Cadbury's or Nestle's! 😊
Super photo from yesterday, certainly made a change from the rainy day on Monday.
Congratulations to the winners, happy card making!

  9. Hi Christine. First I want to say Congratulations to Diane and Crafty Chris, enjoy your magazines : )
The chocolate wrapper and matching gift tag are so pretty and the snowflake dies are gorgeous. I love the pic. with Bellas ears just in the bottom of the shot : ) I hope she is ok tonight. Take care.

  10. Love that chocolate wrapper, I have used it several times for a small gift, mainly with flowers but love the snowflake idea - must give it a try.
Hope Bella doesn't get too upset tonight. Our little dog (sadly no longer with us) used to love fireworks, especially sparklers which she would try to catch!! We only used to buy them for her :-)

  11. Hello Christine, I would have known your make without any hesitation as you are infamous for both wraps and tags. I will be making a few wraps for Cadbury's bars as they can be on standby just in case, and yet they say "you care". Thank you for your inspiration and detail.

  14. Afternoon Christine, Congratulations to the lucky winners, well done to you both !!
The choccie wrapper looks fab, is Hersey's chocolate different from our own chocolate ?
The piccie of Bella's walk is lovely, that gorgeous sky !!
We have already had 2 weeks of firework 'bangs', my Lizzie (kittie) is petrified of them, she hides and doesn't come out for hours and hours, and I'm also looking after next door's 2 cats, so have been making sure that they are both inside every night too, it is causing so much stress to both pet and human !!! I will be glad when it is, at last, over.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

  17. Hello Christine
What a lovely gift idea. Perfect for unexpected guests over the festive period.
A glorious photo of Bella's walk. I hope she is okay tonight and for the rest of the week for that matter. With bonfire night being mid-week it seems to last forever. Poor Bella.
    Keep safe

  18. Loving the choccie wrapper! I too would prefer Cadburys. It's a bit of a nightmare time of year as fireworks seem to go on for several weeks, I have one dog who doesn't care less and one who is suicidal!! Congrats to the winners of the mags x
