Friday Die Day

Hello friends
It's Friday Die Day and today I'm still on a festive roll!
The die set being featured this week is Heirloom Reflections.
You receive 8 die templates in the set.

The sizes are:
Round Ornament 1: 1¼ x 1½”
Round Ornament 2: 1⅝ x 2”
Kismet Ornament 1: 2⅛ x 1¾”
Kismet Ornament 2: 2½ x 2½”
Spire Ornament 1: 1¾ x 2”
Spire Ornament 2: 2⅛ x 2⅞”
Teardrop Ornament 1: 1⅝ x 2⅝”
Teardrop Ornament 2: 2 x 3⅜”

This how they look cut/embossed.
It is also possible to just use the outer dies to create solid baubles.
A Christmas card this week, it seems I'm a little hooked on untraditional colours right now.
I double matted the card base and placed a stamped sentiment onto white card.
I then cut/embossed two designs of the round ornament, strung them with twine
that I tucked behind the white card front.
These are so pretty!  You could use a variety of the ornament shapes to make your own gift tags.
They also look amazing cut from Craft Foils.
Have a wonderful weekend, I'm going to stop thinking about Christmas for a little bit soon!

Take care friends.

  3. Morning Christine
Another lovely card and I am getting very tempted by these dies! I currently have one of the older larger heirloom die sets and these smaller sets look very versatile.

  7. Morning Christine, Coming from a girlie (me) who doesn't even want to think about the 'C' word !!, these dies are stunning, I'm so loving the ornate 'insides', you could use the outside die with stamps and also with the inners, fabulous. These would be ideal for 'batch making' cards. I already have the bigger dies, but these are really lovely.
Lots of love from Patricia xx

Nice card for batch making, not too many elements. Not a colour I would use for Christmas but it's very pretty.

  19. Hello Christine. A great simple card that's really effective and wouldn't take too long. I can see a batch of these leaving for friends overseas as the postage probably isn't too heavy either. xxMargaretxx

  23. Good morning Christine,
Such a fab simple yet effective card, I love it, it has the appearance of a high end Department Store range! I just can't get motivated into making Christmas cards, although I did notice this week that our local supermarkets are selling the Christmas chocolate and sweets and they were selling mince pies at the end of August, so I guess I won't be long before we have the carols piped into the shops!
I so hope that Elliott enjoys college, I am sure it feels a little empty around the place while he is there, I also hope that get keeps going with his creativity, I think you may have a budding 'Tim Holtz' there! Haha
    Big hugs,
    Sandra xxx
