Tuesday is here again and what do I have for you today?
Create your own backgrounds.
Die cut a shape - I've used Botanical Swirls, an expandable pattern die.
Use your die cut as a mask to spray through. I've used Glimmer Mist.
Wait for it to dry fully before removing the die cut.
And trimmed it makes a lovely background to your project.
I've used Carnation Creations for the flower, a little lace
and stamped sentiment.
Easy peasy really!
Think red background with Layered Poinsettia...
I'm mentioning Christmas again!

Morning Christine, A fabulous tip today, I had not even thought of this (nothing new there then haha), but now you point it out, it's the ideal mask. I have this die and have used it quite a lot, although I have a couple of cut-outs that weren't just right, so I will give this a try with those. Thank You.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, I guess you can do the same with masks, the one you have created looks textured!
This technique is a good way of getting a colour match background to go with odd bits of ribbon or papers!

ReplyDeleteGreat stuff. Such a pretty design. I guess the die-cut itself, having been sprayed through, could also be used on another card. BTW Nigel was showing off your decorated chocolate bar earlier on one of the Spellbinders pick of the week shows.
